I Want To Publish Your Bo Bice Album Review

E-mail your thoughts on Bo's new album to dennyxydenny@yahoo.com and I'll publish them on the blog.

Apparently, the album is being released both as a single CD and a "dual disc" (which I'm sure all Bo's true fans will purchase). Circuit City wanted $13.99 for the CD and $18.99 for the "dual disc". Wal-Mart wanted $14.99 for both...so I ordered from Wal-Mart. Click on the link below to go to Wal-Mart's website...you'll need to use their search feature to find Bo's new CD. I've ordered other stuff from their website and all experiences have been positive.
Bo Bice Album

Why buy the "Dual Disc"? It contains:The DVD side of the Dual Disc contains:* Full album in enhanced stereo * A 22-minute 'A Day In The Life' video- includes acoustic performances of: Changing for the Better; Whiskey, Women, and Time; Sinner in a Sin; and Papillon. Also included is an exclusive look behind the scenes of Bo in the studio, at promo appearances, photos shoots, and meeting his fans. * Bonus studio recordings: Cinnamon & Novocaine, Sinner In A Sin, Whiskey, Women & Time

Bo Is Phenomenal

All the way through Bo Bice is Phenomenal. There is not one song on the cd that I didn't absolutely love and I didn't even watch him on American Idol, I didn't know who he was when I was lead to his cd during a time when I didn't think I would survive. I listened to the cd and couldn't stop for weeks and wanted more and more from him well he delivers much more than I would have ever expected. He is amazing as a God fearing, devoted Christian, loving husband, father, and dedicated to his fans. He is why the word nobility was invented to define such a person as himself. There is no one that I've seen put so much heart, determination, love and dedication into everything he does. Just think back when he had performed, broke his foot or ankle, not sure and still finished the performance. How many of us could have done that; I know he had Gods help getting through that as well as the abdominal surgery. You know with that being an emergency surgery that he had to have been hurting prior to leaving for the hospital but he was determined to not let God, his family or fans down. There is many, many more cd's to come out of this wonderfully awesome, phenomenal young man and I am for sure looking forward to it. I not only bought the first cd; Inside Your Heaven, and Vehicle but his full length one, plus I bought a few for some special people who don't get a chance to watch tv. They loved him as much as the rest of America does, even the haters have had to set up and take notice. Thanks Bo for honoring us by sharing your blessing from God, beautifully emotionally powerful voice, your attitude, genuine dedication, and love for each and every person you meet; Your deep love shows through in everything you do, Sincerely, margaret scholebo

Bo In Bar Fight?

http://www.mtv.com/
Hell, we could even come up with some clever play on words, like Bo Versus the Volcano. But here's the thing: Even we don't think it's that funny that the former "American Idol" runner-up allegedly picked a fight with a 6-foot-5-inch, 300-pound former NFL lineman at O'Brien's Bar & Grill. According to bar manager Cormack, a tipsy Bice was sitting at the bar Sunday night a few stools down from ex-New York Giants player and 12-year NFL veteran Glenn Parker, 39, who at some point leaned over and asked the singer if he was the Bo Bice from "Idol." Cormack said Bice denied his identity and said his name was Kevin. A short time later, "Glenn came over to apologize to him and [Bice] had a go at 'im," Cormack said. "Glenn caught him and didn't swing back and I tried to separate them and as I was getting him off Glenn, he caught Glenn on the chin.o found out Bice was coming three days ago. "I've never missed an episode of 'American Idol.' I've been on the bandwagon since Day One. For me, Bo Bice is a dream come true because I'm a rock 'n' roller too."

Bo Honored At Alabama Hall Of Fame

http://www.realitytvmagazine.com/
American Idol Runner-Up, Bo Bice was recently honored in the Alabama Music Hall of Fame Museum with a special display of Bice's memorabilia. Hall of Fame Director, David Johnson, wanted to display some of Bice's stage outfits he wore in the American Idol competiton. Bice says he is excited and honored to be a part of the Hall of Fame and sent the clothing to be presented by his mother, Nancy Downes, and grandmother, Madge Schofield. Donated was the clothing he wore during his first appearance on American Idol.

Bo Visits Children's Hospital

http://www.presstelegram.com/Megan John eyed the long-haired man in jeans, then did a double take when the 6-year-old Miller Children's Hospital patient realized that Bo Bice of "American Idol" was standing in front of her.
She watched in a daze as Bice scribbled his name on a hat and placed it on her head.
"It looks good on you!" the singing star said.
"It's really cool because she was upset a little while ago," said Megan's mother, Katee John. "She's having surgery tonight (to have a lump removed from her back) and this has totally made her day."
Bice joined about a dozen other Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race stars Thursday to visit patients, sign autographs and give out toys.

Bo Signs With Buddy Lee

http://top40-charts.com/
RCA Recording Artist BO BICE has signed with prestigious national booking agency Buddy Lee Attractions, Inc. for exclusive representation. The platinum-selling artist is currently on tour in support of his debut album and the hit single, 'The Real Thing' which is currently in the top 5 on MTV's TRL and screaming up the charts at radio!

Bo To Perform At Alabama "Jubilee"

http://www.montgomeryadvertiser.com/
The Capital City’s Jubilee CityFest, the annual Memorial Day weekend music festival, has added another rock act to its lineup. “American Idol” rocker Bo Bice, an Alabama native, will play May 28 on the Regions Bank/BellSouth stage.

Bice Visits Dale Earnhardt Inc.

http://www.miami.com
Bo Bice and his band, Sugarland Money, stopped in to check out where their favorite race team, DEI, builds the cars for their favorite drivers. They were en route to a gig in Spartanburg, S.C., on Wednesday night.
Having just left Columbia, S.C., earlier in the day with Charlotte radio interviews on tap for Wednesday morning, Bice and his band realized DEI in Mooresville was a doable stop on the way. They pulled up in their tour bus and took a behind-the-scenes view of our facility.
Joining in the tour was Taylor Earnhardt. She and Bice had their picture taken by a No. 8 car with a large photo of her dad, Dale, in the background. She offered interesting insights about the buildings and different aspects of DEI. "
This is so cool just to be able to come to DEI," Bice said. "Getting behind the walls of this shop is great. I can’t believe how clean and big the buildings and shops are here. I went to Talladega last year and briefly met Dale Jr.

Bice To Play Private Spartenburg Concert

http://www.goupstate.com/
Bo Bice didn't win the Fox reality show "American Idol," but he did win the hearts of millions of fans.
Wednesday night, 500 of those fans will get to see Bice at a private concert at Sharky's Nightclub, 620 W. Blackstock Road. Bice was runner-up to season four "American Idol" winner Carrie Underwood in 2005.
The concert is an invitation-only event sponsored by pop radio station WFBC FM B93.7. The radio station made the announcement Friday morning.
"When I got the call, I thought it was an April Fool's joke," said Sharky's co-owner Tracy Bouye, who found out Bice was coming three days ago. "I've never missed an episode of 'American Idol.' I've been on the bandwagon since Day One. For me, Bo Bice is a dream come true because I'm a rock 'n' roller too."

Was Bo Sick During AI Performance?

http://www.tvsquad.com
Was he sick or something? He sounded terrible. It was like a performance where viewers finally vote you off. If they had asked the judges what they thought of Bice's performance ("The Real Thing"), I think Simon would have been honest and said "I don't see how you made it so far, based on that performance," or "you were really off tonight," and probably even "you shouted that song tonight. It was your worst performance ever," which is exactly what I thought. Ugh, it just wasn't good. (Randy would have said something that included a couple "dawgs," and Paula would have just mumbled something about it being good and then would have knocked over her Coke cup).

Bice To Play Appleton

http://www.postcrescent.com/
Bice is nice. If you've looked at Bo Bice and have suddenly found yourself with the urge to shout, "Play some Skynyrd, man!" (I know I have), here's your chance. The "American Idol" alum will perform at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Meyer Theatre in downtown Green Bay. For a mere five bucks you get to hear him sing five songs, plus hang out with the crowd afterward for a question-and-answer session. No promises that he'll bust into some "Freebird," but one can always hope.

Bo Returns To Idol

http://www.thereporter.com/news/ci_3577606

Love The New CD

Hello,
I just bought Bo Bice's CD today, and I love it! He is awesome! Then again, why shouldn't he be? He's from Alabama! 2-0-5 Baby! Yes, he and his music are AWESOME! I also like that you can relate his songs on a spiritual level.

Bo's First Video

http://www.mtv.com/
"Whatever the case, we know from what we saw that Bice does a lot of performing in various locations around downtown Los Angeles, with Ryan Smith (Story of the Year) directing.

"I'm glad we don't have to lip-synch during ['American Idol']," Bo said after the shoot. "I think I started lip-synching about halfway through the first day, and it's not as easy as you think it would be. But it's definitely better than a day job."

Bo Brings It On Valentines Day

http://www.pennlive.com/
"With his long hair flowing, Bice wooed the crowd with his opening song of "You're Everything." Dressed in red sneakers, flared jeans and a multi-color shirt, Bice thanked the crowd for coming to see him.

The front of the stage was lined mostly with women, but men were just as visible at the show. Dragonfly has an age minimum of 21 years old. Many in the crowd appeared to be older than the 30-year-old rocker.

Bice sang for more than an hour. At the end of his show, someone threw a cowboy hat onto the stage. The crowd demanded an encore, and Bice came back and sang "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. "

Bo's A Force

For every negative opinion that I read about there are ten positive
ones. Bo Bice is a force to behold. For all of those sceptics that
degrade his debut album and compare him to other AI winners in sales I
have this to say...for a man who is being ignored by radio stations he
is holding his own. His fans that are in the thousands, maybe even
millions worldwide will support him and flock to see him in concert.
Even those that criticize him must have been waiting for his cd. They
bought it! I suspect a bit of ENVY here.

Bo In Jacksonville

http://www.jaxdailyrecord.com/
"About 150 women stood outside the Twisted Martini Friday afternoon, and no the bar was not giving away free drinks. They were waiting to see American Idol’s Bo Bice. Last year’s American Idol finalist performed for an hour and later signed autographs for his fans. Tickets to the concert could only be won by women through a contest sponsored by FM-95.1."

Bo--Just A Regular Guy

At 43 years of age, it was so nice to finally have a C.D. that I could crank up in my car, sing with every song and really feel Bo though his amazing unique voice and his delectable passion. Bo is the type of artist that will be around 20-30 years from now. He is a refreshing regular guy that we can all identify with. I am looking forward to the next more Bo written C.D. and would love to see him live!

Bo & Weight Loss

http://www.starpulse.com/_
"American Idol runner-up Bo Bice talks about his dramatic weight loss in an interview with "Access Hollywood." After undergoing surgery for an intestinal blockage that caused him to drop out of last Summer's American Idol Tour, the 30-year-old singer and guitar-playing sensation lost 30 to 35 pounds. After looking at some recent pictures of himself, a surprised Bice said, "Wow, yeah, I've lost a little bit of weight. That's what happens when you have to get gastrointestinal surgery."

Bice adds, "I've luckily gained about 10 pounds back. I was kind of small while recuperating and I'm glad to have gained some weight back. I'm going to be healthy for my family and I want to be healthy so I can go out and tour to be with the fans."

Bo's Album Moving Up Charts

http://www.foxesonidol.com/
"But the big news this week is a resurgence in interest for Bo’s The Real Thing. After dropping to #52 last week, the CD shot up six spots to #46 on the Billboard 200. What’s even better is that Billboard has just added a Top Rock Album chart, and The Real Thing is #12! Thanks Billboard!

This upward motion is certainly due in part to last week’s airing of CMT’s In the Moment: Bo Bice. But more importantly, Bo’s single, “The Real Thing,” is really starting to take hold. The song is getting airplay in major markets, and each week is being added in new markets. In fact, last week the single finally made it to my hometown, Syracuse, and was added to 93Q’s playlist. Now all they have to do is play it! "

Fan's Opinion of "In The Moment"

I watched In the Moment with Bo Bice and found it to be much more than I expected. I love him more now than ever. He is truly a gift to all his fans. After listening to the entire show, I believe that most of Bo's illness is directly related to what AI and RCA have put him through. My gosh Bo's music is far better than almost anything out there right now. Some of the well known singers today don't hold a candle to Bo and his GOD given talent. I really hope Bo signs with another record company that will believe in him and let him do his thing. I am not saying that I don't like his album because I do like it, especially, The Real Thing, Valley of Angels, It's My Life and Willing To Try. Maybe I have been out of the pop world too long, but I don't think of this album as a pop album. The producers did a good job but it's not what Bo wants. I hope RCA puts out VOA as a single and I'll bet it goes to #1 because Bo wrote it and it is by far the best song out right now. Well, I've had my say.

Bo's Fans Will Support Bo No Matter What

I bought Bo's new cd and yes the music is pop rock but
it just shows how versatile he can be.I'm sure his next album will have some of his southern rocker style that he is well known for. His true fans will love and support him no matter what. Joni

Happy With Bo's CD

I just got Bo's CD and I love it! I can't stop listening to it. I keep playing it over and over. I'll admit, I was a Carrie fan with AI. I didn't care much for him on the show so I figured his CD would be about the same. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it really is. I got Carrie's cd and liked it but I think Bo's is actually better. It's very seldom that I get a CD where I like every song on it. I like his southern rock/pop sound. I can't wait til his next CD. I'm hoping it will be a bit more on the rock side and less on the pop side. Way to Go BO!! Love this CD!!!

Bo "In The Moment"

http://www.foxesonidol.com/

But more than that, In the Moment takes us behind the scenes, allowing us to witness the exact moment that Bo Bice, the musician, comes face to face with the harsh reality of the music business. We accompany Bo into the recording studio for the first time, and watch as he attempts to pitch his original material to producer Jamie Houston. Bo is flying high, having witnessed the birth of his son only hours earlier, and while he is certainly a bit nervous, he is eager to explore the options with Houston. But Houston, who has come to Nashville with a set agenda of six songs for Bo to record, isn’t having any of this. He tries to cushion the blow, but when Bo continues to try to make his pitch, Houston dismisses the cameraman and the conversation continues without benefit of witnesses. We are left to imagine what went down, but I am sure it wasn’t pretty.
Filming picks up as Bo and Sugar Money bass player John Cooper walk dejectedly to their vehicle at the end of the session. Bo is clearly upset, and expresses his concern about the songs that they have given him to sing. He tries to be non-judgmental, but stresses that he is a songwriter, not a pop singer. “It’s like putting a f---ing mink coat on a penguin,” he says. A mink coat indeed!

Bice Interviewed For Singapore Newspaper

http://newpaper.asia1.com.sg/
"With a clean bill of health now, Bice is savouring every moment of his fame - 'This is not a bad life! I mean, I'm talking to people from Singapore!' - and raring to go on tour and visit his fans from all over the world.

Speaking to The New Paper over the phone from Los Angeles, where he is shooting a music video, Bice said: 'Every dream that I've ever dreamt came true in one year, and it was when I was 30.

'It's very ironic because over the years, my parents always said: 'Bo, why don't you just go to college, why don't you do this, do that?'

'When I was 25, I said, 'Look Dad, if you would leave me alone till I'm 30 years old, I will quit all this music business at 30 and I will go out and get what you call a real job and you won't ever have to hear about this stuff again.'"

I've heard in a long time. I bought his cd and sent it

Bo's Fans Sound Off On Bad Reviews

http://www.al.com/
"Over the past couple of weeks, I've also received e-mails from across the country and Canada, displaying a similar range of opinions. Some have agreed with my comments - basically, that Bice, 30, deserves better material and the chance to make a personal artistic statement. Others have defended the disc, raved about the Alabama-born singer or pointed out my absolute ignorance. "

What The Heck, Bo?

"I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED, I FELT I SHOULD GET MY MONEY BACK. THIS ISN'T THE "REAL BO BICE" NOT THE ONE WHO WAS ON AI. MY HUSBAND AND I BOTH LOVED TO HEAR HIM SING BUT THIS ALBUM IS NOT GOOD... THE SONGS ALL SOUND THE SAME, NO VARIETY. WHAT HAPPEN TO OUR "ROCKER"??? PLEASE SOMEONE FIND THE REAL BO BICE AND HAVE HIM PRODUCE ANOTHER ALBUM, WHAT WAS CLIVE THINKING???"

Bo Is Boring

http://www.thestate.com/
""The Real Thing"
1 star
"I ain't gonna change who I am," "American Idol" runner-up Bo Bice sings on "Willing to Try," the penultimate track on his debut album — and yet for the previous nine songs and these last two, that's precisely what Bice does.
Bice, 30 million viewers will recall, was "Idol's" first hope for a rocker, something different from the typical antiseptic pop singer the show favors. With his long hair, advanced age (he's 30 and a married father now), experience fronting his own band, and the influences he cited — late folk-pop star Jim Croce and Southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd, among them — the affable Bice had the potential to fill a void in blue-collar rock. If we were lucky, perhaps he could be a next-generation Bob Seger.
Instead Bice winds up closer to Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, saddled with wholly uninteresting and overproduced pop songs.
He also has been given a stylistic makeover, softened and turned into what Ahnold might pronounce "a girly man" on the CD cover. This may make him more palatable to young girls but it also erases any individuality he once possessed. A safe Bo is a boring Bo."

Bo Comments On "The Real Thing"

http://msnbc.msn.com
"“I’m obviously very excited about the album, to see what people think of it,” he told The Birmingham News. “I had quite a bit of creative control, and I was extremely pleased with that. I had a lot of input.”"

Wish More Of Bo's Own Songs Were On Album

Although Pop-Rock is not what I would expect Bo to do for an album..he
has to do what 'the people' want..or what will sell. He has to get out
and get known to those Non-American Idol watchers.
I do wish his original three tracks on the DualDisc made it onto the
audio part of the album. Hopefully with time Bo will be able to fully
write (not just co-write) all of his songs.

I like the album overall, but like I said, I just wish there was more
of his own stuff. It's more genuine. But nevertheless..it's Bo, and I
love him!

E Doesn't Like Bo's Album

http://www.eonline.com/
"If the point of American Idol is to get rid of the riffraff and hand contracts only to the most worthy contestants, then the show has failed. For every deserving winner, like Kelly Clarkson, there are dozens of lame runners-up (hey, Justin Guarini!) clogging the system. Earlier this year, Bo Bice lost out to Carrie Underwood. Rather than step aside gracefully, the Southern rocker made an album that collects table scraps from Nickelback ("You're Everything") and Bon Jovi ("Nothing Without You"), and presents them with a barrage of saccharine rock ballads courtesy of overpaid pop songwriters like Max Martin and John Shanks. The results are, predictably, Real dull."

|

Pre-Album Release Commentary

http://www.foxesonidol.com/
"Ironically, the one person who is probably the least concerned about all of this is Bo himself. From the start, he has indicated that all he wants to do is make music and perform for the people. He has already accomplished this mission, and the rest is gravy. No matter what the critics say or how many albums are sold, Bo is doing what he loves and his fans are going to support him. He is, after all, a breath of fresh air in an industry that is overcrowded with mediocrity. Watching him clowning around on the Billboard show or chatting amicably with Kelly Ripa, one thing becomes crystal clear: Bo Bice is indeed “the real thing,” and will prevail no matter what. Now go out and buy the CD!"

Bo's Future Plans

http://www.suntimes.com/
"Bice will back the release with TV appearances and then a solo tour. "I love to be onstage with a band having fun," he says.

"I'm grateful for 'Idol,' but so many of the first albums are taken as souvenirs," he adds. "I think that everything to do with my album -- the look of it, the feel, the songs -- are about me. They didn't come in and go, 'Bo, change this, all of the kids are wearing mascara ...' [Expletive] that. This is about the music. We got a rock 'n' roll album, not a souvenir from a television show.""

I Dig The Album

Hey there...I love the album. Finally something I like to listen to that I can tolerate. I'm a 36 year old mom of two little boys who used to be a bleach blond rocker chick that typically dated the bass player in local rock bands and now listens to NPR on the radio in the car. I can't find anything to fill the void and don't have the time to between The Wiggles and Baby Einstein.... American Idol was a chance for my husband and me to sit down and relax and I loved Bo from the beginning (hated Constantine!) I actually voted!!! MANY TIMES for Bo. I don't care how the album came to be, I just appreciate Bo and the beginning of this part of his career and look forward to more music from him in the future..

Laura

I Rate Bo's CD A 9 Out Of 10

I have to tell you that I voted for Carrie on AI but I bought Bo's CD
for my son. He was playing it LOUD and I have to say I was blown away!
Bo has a southern quality in his voice that is so unique and I had to
borrow it from from my son so that I could hear it in my car. I turned
it up and WOW1 I would definately recommend buying this as a gift if
you
have teenagers in your house. Get one for yourself too. On a scale from
1-10 this debut CD is a solid 9. The song Willing To Try is my favorite
and the rest you can't help but sing along with. It's refreshing that
you can understand the lyrics. I'll take my friends to this concert
when
he tours.....Sara

Bo's CD "Calculated"

"OK, maybe Bo's new CD is not rock music and the producers have chosen a softer sound, but I'm sure that he knows what he's doing. But it is still Bo, his magical voice and his passion for the music and I love him. On the other hand, when I hear Voodoo Child or Merry Christmas Baby, it really rocks my socks, so maybe next time?"

Interview With Bo

http://blogs.usatoday.com/
"You seem so cool and laid-back all the time. Is there anything that worries you?

I try not to worry to much about anything, but my doctors and everyone around me tells me to stress less all the time. I'm still kind of doing the same stuff I've been doing for years, you know -- the pace hasn't really slowed down. Nothing's really changed too much. I try not to worry too much about anything and just stay focused on always trying to do a good job.

I think something that really motivates me every morning is I don't really care what people think of me, and I'm not out to try to put on a facade. ... I'm much happier at being that guy that wakes up as his damn self every day than the guy that tries to figure out what he's gotta act like to impress this person or that person. It's a lot less preparation in the mornings, you know? I don't have to put on a Superman suit and convince people I'm some kind of hero, man. I'm just some cat that lucked out and made it on a TV show."

Reality TV Magazine Like The Album

http://www.realitytvmagazine.com/
"Overall, I think Bo Bice delivered an excellent album for his first outing. The one complaint I have about the CD is that it needs more original Bo Bice songs. I know RCA is pouring a lot of money into promoting the CD so they probably felt they had to play it safe and bring in experienced, professional writers. However, the three original Bo Bice songs on the Dual Disc outshine most of the songs on the CD. Maybe, it was a good idea to play it safe on the debut album to ensure radio airplay, but I’m hoping on the next CD they turn Bo loose and let him sing all originals. "

A Sarcastic Critic

http://jam.canoe.ca/
"Why else would someone whose career is owed to a TV competition looking for prefabricated pop stars call his disc The Real Thing?

It can't be because he truly believes his Southern rock karaoke vocals are unique.

And even the most delusional wouldn't think the songs he sings -- diuretic modern rock penned by everyone from Chad Kroeger and Bon Jovi to songwriting committees -- actually qualify him as a real thing. "

Poor Effort

http://www.azstarnet.com/
"Bice's voice is not particularly distinctive, nor is it particularly warm. He reminds me of Bob Seger with a cold. On a positive note: Although almost all of the songs were written by someone else, when Bice gets the rare chance to do one of his own numbers (the album-closing "Valley of Angels"), it's one of the better things on the album.
For the most part, though, "The Real Thing" — like most debut discs from "American Idol" stars — is a milquetoast affair. That's too bad. On TV, Bice managed to distinguish himself by stressing his Alabama roots. But from the sound of his first album, he might as well be from New Jersey."

More Bo Comments

http://www.nationalledger.com/
""Everything's kind of about the same. I live out in the country now, and I have a son and I hang out with my wife," he says of his wife Caroline and son Aidan.

"I'm just getting to meet a lot of cool people. I'm blessed to be having so much fun doing all this stuff." So what's next for the singer? "Next year I'm going to get on the road to promote this album," notes Bo of his "The Real Thing" album, which hits stores tomorrow (12/13).

"I'll also be recording the next album. You can expect some pop, some rock. No covers. It's all originals. I've been working with some great producers. We'll see what we can do."

Bo's Album - The Complete RCA Press Release

http://www.prnewswire.com/=
"Bo Bice, "American Idol"
fourth season finalist, will release his much-anticipated debut album, "The
Real Thing," on 19 Recordings/RCA Records on Dec. 13. Produced by Clive Davis,
the album teams Bice with Chad Kroeger, Richie Sambora, Jon Bon Jovi, Ben
Moody, John Shanks, and Swedish producer Max Martin. "It's so cool to be
surrounded by people like that," says the singer from Birmingham, Alabama.
"You just feel grateful every day."

There will be two editions of "The Real Thing." In addition to a regular
CD, there will be a DualDisc version with bonus material, including three
extra songs written by Bice. The DualDisc version will include the full album
in enhanced stereo; a 22-minute video of "A Day in the Life" of Bo; an
exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Bo in the studio, at promo appearances,
photo shoots and meeting his fans; the three bonus audio tracks "Cinnamon &
Novocaine," "Sinner in a Sin" and "Whiskey, Women and Time"; and acoustic
performances of "Changing for the Better," "Whisky, Women and Time," "Sinner
in a Sin" and "Papillon."
Bo will support the release of "The Real Thing" with multiple television
appearances, including "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" (Dec. 5), "The
Billboard Music Awards" (Dec. 6), "The Today Show" and "Live With Regis and
Kelly" (both Dec. 9), Ellen (Dec. 13), "The Tony Danza Show" (Dec. 15), "The
Early Show" (Dec. 16), "The Radio Music Awards (Dec. 19) and "Jimmy Kimmel
Live" (Dec. 20).
On Dec. 11, the Oxygen Network will air "A Holiday Custom Concert Special
-- Featuring Bo Bice and Special Guests." He'll wrap up the year with a one-
hour special, "In the Moment With Bo Bice," airing Jan. 13, 2006 on CMT.
There will be three opportunities for Bo's fans to watch him perform live.
The fans are invited to watch Bo give an outdoor performance at Rockefeller
Center for the Dec. 9 appearance on "The Today Show." They can also attend the
taping of the Oxygen Network special in New York on Dec. 7. and on Dec. 20,
fans can watch Bo perform live on the outdoor set of Jimmy Kimmel's show.
"Bo Bice is indeed 'the real thing'," says Clive Davis, Chairman CEO BMG
U.S. "The album's title is so very accurate in not only reflecting its first
single but also the extent of who and what Bo and his talent represent."

The tracks on Bo's debut album include:
"The Real Thing" (written by Kara DioGuardi and Marti Frederiksen;
produced by Marti Frederiksen). "That's an incredible tune," says Bo. "I had a
great time recording it with Marti. He's just like me, a laid-back cat, pretty
mellow. We started working between 10am and lunch and would go for 12 hours
and just had fun." Dioguardi adds, "It's about a man saying to a woman, 'I
know you have these feelings and I know you're not saying them and it looks
like you want to say them.'"
"You're Everything" (written by Chad Kroeger; produced by Chad Kroeger and
Joey Moi). "Chad and Joey are great guys," says Bo. "Chad brought an
incredible song to the table. I love the tune. I met the guys in New York,
hung out for a minute, and we started recording."
"U Make Me Better" (written by Martin Sandberg and Lukasz Gottwald;
produced by Max Martin). "Max and Dr. Luke were a lot of fun to work with. Max
has some major league hits and he's real genuine and humble. Max and I are
kindred spirits; we got each other right away," says Bo.
"Nothing Without You" (written by Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora and John
Shanks; produced by John Shanks). "John and I are both guitar freaks," says
Bo. "I met Richie Sambora when we did 'The Tonight Show' together last June.
He pitched a song to Clive." John Shanks adds, "Bo steps up to the mic and
gives you a great performance from the get-go." Shanks had been working with
Jon and Richie on Bon Jovi's "Have a Nice Day" album. "We had been saving this
song and I told Jon and Richie we should see if Bo liked it," Shanks explains.
"It's a modern pop-rock song. The hook says that all of this means nothing
without you. I can go through life but without sharing it with someone you
love, it's meaningless."
"My World" (written by Mitch Allan and John Allen; produced by Ben Moody).
"That song is on the poppier end of the spectrum," says Bo. Moody calls Bo,
"the real deal," adding, "He can stand there with an acoustic guitar and play
classic rock tunes for an hour and you'll never lose interest ... the guy is
just a star!"
"Remember Me" (written by Kara DioGuardi and Marti Frederiksen; produced
by Marti Frederiksen). "That's one of my favorites," Bo enthuses. "Marti and
Kara wrote it for me. I've played it live several times because it's such a
cool song." DioGuardi elaborates, "It's about a love that's gone bad. It says
now that we're done and I'm crushed, don't ever forget me. It's a plea to be
remembered even though things have gone bad."
"Hold On to Me" (written by Jess Cates, Dennis Matkosky and Lindy Robbins;
produced by John Shanks). "That's another song from the poppier side," says
Bo. Shanks adds, "I kept it in the same vibe as 'Nothing Without You' so there
would be a sonic consistency on the album. I'm the kind of producer who
listens to the demo and honors it by taking the best elements and being
respectful to the writers who worked so hard on the song, and try to make it
into a hit record."
"Lie ... It's All Right" (written by Martin Sandberg and Lukasz Gottwald;
produced by Max Martin and Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald). "It's a real heavy pop
tune," says Bo.
"It's My Life" (written by Cliff Magness, Kara DioGuardi and Bo Bice;
produced by Cliff Magness). "Cliff and I wrote some of it and then we brought
in Kara to help us round off some corners," Bo recalls. "Cliff and I had been
talking about how weird and crazy life was and that we just move along and try
to enjoy every moment of it." DioGuardi adds, "When we were writing for Bo we
concentrated on channeling his emotions -- the strain, the angst, the release.
All the things he did on 'American Idol' that made him so great."
"Willing to Try" (written by John Shanks and Richie Sambora; produced by
John Shanks). "It's so cool to have someone like Richie that I've admired my
entire life write a song because they saw you and were inspired by you," says
Bo. Shanks confirms, "We wrote that especially for Bo. It has elements of Otis
Redding, giving Bo a chance to stretch out in a more soulful way. The lyrics
are about the obstacles of relationships and that through adversity, you're
willing to try even though it's easy to give up."
"Valley of Angels" (written by Bo Bice and Cliff Magness; produced by
Cliff Magness). "It's a very introspective tune I wrote several years ago," Bo
explains. "It's about finding inner peace. I had one of my old guitars in the
studio and was warming up with this song when Cliff asked me what the song
was. It was incomplete, so Cliff wrote an instrumental bridge and I put some
lyrics over his bridge."

Bo Lost Idol By 134 Votes

http://www.realitytvmagazine.com/
"Bo Bice talks to John Kasich via satellite from Nashville, Tennessee. Bo tells John, “The lord just told me that if you’ve got something, you know, you give. That’s something that my family’s always gone by. And it was just kind of second nature to do it.” Xera and Perry Booth, who were the lucky recipients of Bo’s generosity, also talk to John via satellite. In regards to the Bo allowing them to use his house, Xera tells John, “Its meant a tremendous amount. Made me feel like I had a place to hold my family all together.”

In an interesting twist, John Kasich suddenly starts quizzing Bo Bice over a statement he once made about how he was praying not to win on the American Idol finale. While Bo is answering the question, Fox News flashes across the screen that “Bice lost to Carrie Underwood by only 134 votes.” "

Bo...Not People's Sexiest Man, But...

http://www.realitytvmagazine.com/
"While People overlooks Bo Bice for a sexiest superlative, they devote three full pages to photos of and an interview with the American Idol runner-up. Included are pictures of Bo’s 8 week old baby Aidan and Bo’s wife Caroline. There is a family photo where (and we promise that we’re not making this up) one of Bo’s dogs is posed in a reclined position with a baby pacifier in its mouth. It’s pretty impressive that the photographer pulled off this shot, but we just hope that the pacifier went into the trash after the photo shoot."

Bo's Son Aidan

"“Bo’s the best dad,” says Caroline. “He’ll just sit and stare at Aidan. He loves him with all his heart.” He’s also a hands-on dad: “I was up at 3 the other morning with a bottle in my hand,” says Bice. And that’s a blessing, he adds: “That wasn’t the kind of bottle I’d have in my hand five or six years ago at 3 in the morning.” "

Bo at Bonnaroo

"Bice tells Relix magazine the first night he was at the Bonnaroo Festival, he thought he'd been invited there to get beat up.
He says he got there and everyone noticed he's just a hippie too and he would've come to Bonnaroo whether he was invited or not. "

Bo's Song Is Appropriate

Hell Yes

Last time I looked we were still a democracy - isn't that why we have American's dying in Iraq for? - and Bo is free to say - sing - write anything he wants. I love how people defend free speech until it isn't what they want to hear and then it is inappropriate. I so want to hear this song now!

Bo & Sugar Money Rocked It Out!!!

http://www.al.com
"Then Bice got down to business with SugarMoney, leading the four-piece band through a set of covers and originals, including his two hurricane songs, "We Can't Change This World" and "Changing for the Better." He has a good voice, as we all know, although it did sound a bit scratchy at times.

Renditions of "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Free Bird" were saved for the end, prompting a roar of approval from ticketholders. But listeners were inclined to like anything Bice pulled out of the music stash, from "Vehicle" to "Voodoo Child," "Whipping Post" to "Take the Money and Run."

Let's see these guys hit the road!!!

More About Bo's New Album

There's no telling, though, what will end up on the as-yet-untitled album, tentatively set for a November 29 release.

"We have to pitch to the record company like everybody else," said Bo, who described his material as being about growth."

"Former Evanescence guitarist Ben Moody, Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger and Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora all gave him songs that make the album a little bit of everything, Bice told MTV.com.

People will see my mellow, acoustic side on a couple songs, then my crazy Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnny Winter, jammy-type stuff, then really groovy '70s rock, revisited with a modern touch, he said. And with some genuine lyrics about my life and things I see around me."

"What Bo's done for us is awesome," says Zara, who, like her husband, is a New Orleans lawyer. She's out of a job now, and so is he, though he's in Louisiana right now trying to find contract work. "

Bo and Politics

http://blogcritics.org/
"Bo Bice has had his first introduction to the impact his actions and words may have on fans. He recently donated his home to a family displaced from the destruction of hurricane Katrina. He started a charity to benefit the Gulf coast disaster victims. He purchased 100 tickets from his own pocket to give to folks waiting to attend the benefit concert that American Idol held in Syracuse, NY. But, in the midst of all the good he has done and all his good intentions, the fact that there was a chance that he may have written a song with politically controversial lyrics, created some of the biggest buzz. Bo Bice is now finding himself among artists in a position to influence the public."

Still don't know anything about the song...hope to know soon.

Bo Has The Right To Comment

Bo's comments were correct in my own opinion. He has every right as an American to voice his opinion. I agree that there was more than a hint of discrimination. Think about it..if this happened in Carmel CA.or Key West FL don't you think the response would have been immediate. I do. The federal government was warned by experts that if a hurricane with such force as Katrinia hit the gulf coast it would devastate New Orleans (below sea level) and FEMA ignored the warning. Bush appointed the Director of FEMA so he must except some of the responsibility. The State of Louisiana is highly populated with African Americans and most are considered to be low level as far as economic status. Even if they wanted to evacuate early where would they go and where would they stay. The more affluent can afford to go to another city farther inland and pay for a hotel or motel. The poor cannot. So..I think Bo is right on the money.

Looking Forward To The Song

I know whatever they are, his voice will bring the message loud and clear and people will feel it deeply, heart and soul. He has the most emotionally powerful voice I have ever heard. I know his album is gonna do fantastic, he has an amazing voice, and positive attitude which will also take him far but the appreciation for God will take him as high as he possible can go.

Disapointed In Bo

Yes, I would like to see the lyrics to the song. I adore Bo, but I am very disappointed that he would write such a song. What was he thinking? Just because most of the people shown by the liberal media were black, the vast majority of the affected people were actually white. He should get his facts straight. About 80% of the poeple in the Mississippi gulf coast affected counties are white....in a state that has more per capita blacks than any other. Also, except for the Parish in Louisiana that contains New Orleans, all of the other affected Louisiana Parishes are mostly white. Those people in the subarbs who sat on their roofs for 3-4 days in sweltering heat were mostly white. Yes, the government was too slow to act, and they have to find out why to prevent it from happening again. However, to even suggest that is it because the victums were black is not only assenine, but very devisive is a country that doesn't need to be more divided. Wise up, Bo!!!!! We love you, but you are wrong here.

Bice - One Writer's Thoughts

http://www.foxesonidol.com/
"I waited expectantly for him to debut the song that he told MTV he had written about his reaction to the disaster. Somehow I knew that his feelings would mirror my own and wanted to hear these emotions expressed musically. But, for whatever reason, Bo did not perform that song. There is a lot of speculation as to the reasons for this omission, but I suspect that, once again, TPTB had the final word. However, I am willing to bet that when he performs at Farm Aid, he will sing that song no matter what the consequences. And that, my friends, is what Bo Bice is all about. "

Bo's Hurricane Song

http://blogcritics.org/
"I'm a CNN junkie. I wrote a song about it and I'm going to sing it Sunday. It's called "We Can't Change This World." I'm talking about we can't change this world if we can't change our minds. The first step is realizing there is a problem. The problem doesn't have to be something that we're going to solve (right away), but to sit around and say it's never going to be solved – man, if we quit trying, we'd be worthless."

Lot's of Bo's fans are debating Bo's repsonse to the Hurricane.

Disapointed In Long Island

After buying tickets to the American Idols tour for their second show on Long Island, we were all pretty upset to find out that Bo not only wasn't going to perform, but was very ill.
I was dissapointed with the way that they honored Bo during the concert. Showing only one of his performances on the big screen wasn't enough in my opinion. The way he played guitar in his live performances was amazing, and showed that he wasn't only a singer with an amazing voice, but a guitarist as well. Those who missed out on his guitar performace really missed out on the best part of the entire show.
Afterwards, when the other 9 American Idols came out in Bo Bice t-shirts, singing Sweet Home Alabama, it made me feel better.

Get better Bo, and don't worry..you didn't let any of your fans down.

Bo To Perform Again

http://www.mtv.com

"Bo Bice, who has been absent from the American Idols Live Tour since having emergency intestinal surgery on August 18, will return for the final night, a just-added benefit show for victims of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath.

Sunday at the Oncenter in Syracuse, New York, Bo will debut a song he wrote after the hurricane struck called "We Can't Change This World."

"The chorus is 'We can't change this world/ If we can't change our minds,' " Bice said of the song, which, like Kanye West's recent controversial remarks, questions whether the nation's delayed response to the tragedy correlates with the race of the majority of the victims "

Inside Your Heaven Reviewed

http://www.star-ecentral.com
"The two tracks featured in this release do a little bit to demonstrate the versatility of his vocal talent. Inside Your Heaven is one of those yearning-lovers slow rock-type ballads while Vehicle is an uptempo groove-to-the-music song, boasting of blaring trumpets and Richie Sambora’s helping hand at the guitar. In both songs, as layered as the instrumentation can sometimes become, Bice never loses focus in the song itself and skilfully uses his baritone to achieve different effects – mildly tender in Inside Your Heaven and unashamedly raucous in Vehicle."

Interview With Bo

http://www.dailypress.com/
"BO BICE

Age: 29

Hometown: Helena, Ala.

Best song of the competition: "Vehicle" (The Ides of March)

Ranking: second place

Q: You just got married and then left on the "AI" tour. Does that bum your wife out?

A: I'm sure she's happy to get away from me. (Laughs.) No, I know she misses me, and I miss her, but we talk about a dozen times a day.

Q: As a longtime musician, were you worried about losing your artistic integrity by going on "American Idol" where things are very controlled?

A: I'm not really worried about that. I quit worrying when it came down to the top 12 contestants. When I hit the top six, I thought, "This is cool." And when I had to sing "Corner of the Sky" (from the musical "Pippin"), I realized it couldn't get any worse than that.

Q: With all that has been going on this year, how do you keep focused on the music?

A: I stay true to me and stay true to my heart. When I stop loving music, I'll just quit. I'm not here to change the world; I'm just here to play music.

Q: Who among your "AI" mates have you learned the most from?

A: I learned something from everyone. I believe if you ever stop learning from people, that's when you're lost.

Q: Do you have an iPod?

A: I am going to go ahead and buy an iPod. I'm not a technology-driven person; I leave that to my wife. (Laughs.) Just give me a guitar.

Interview grade: A-plus, humble and friendly"

What Really Happened In Vegas

http://www.foxesonidol.com
"Several readers emailed me to tell me that during a recent show, Scott talked about what happened in Las Vegas. According to Scoot, Bo took part in the sound check but after it was over, he collapsed on the couch and appeared to be in pretty bad shape. Someone from the group called 911 and Bo was rushed to the hospital where he later had the surgery that appears to have saved his life. That night, the rest of the group had to take the stage and perform, not knowing what had happened to Bo. That couldn’t have been easy. "

Bo And Paparazzi

http://www.realitytvmagazine.com
"Bo also spoke to Fox 6 News about the son he and his wife are expecting. Bo told Fox 6 News that he will be selling his home in Helena and moving for the sake of his son because he is being stalked by paparazzi. The Birmingham News also reports on the trouble that the paparazzi are giving Bo. The Birmingham News quotes Bo’s pastor Donny Acton as telling them “Bice said photographers from gossip magazines are offering tens of thousands of dollars to anyone who can provide a picture of the singer in his hospital room.”

Disgusting...

Bo Out Of Hospital

http://www.allheadlinenews.com/
"Pastor of New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Donny Acton, tells The Associated Press, "He's in an undisclosed place for more R&R. It's pretty serious stuff, and you can still get an infection."

Bice underwent surgery Friday at Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas to repair a kink in his intestine - spending about six weeks recovering."

A Pity About Bo

Hi...How disappointing for Bo and his fans the recent turn of events in his life. Everything couldnt have been better and then all the heatlh issues. He was heard on an Alabama radio station saying how sorry he was to his fans. He sounded very weak. What a guy...amidst all of this he is still concerned for his fans. We just want him to be well. He is a real people person! God Bless him

Everett Sings For Bo

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/

"But when the five male finalists took the stage Tuesday night, belting out the anthem of their missing friend, Bo Bice, seemingly everyone in the Everett Events Center rose from their seats to dance, clap and sing along to "Sweet Home Alabama."

And when Constantine Maroulis, the show's other long-haired rocker, urged everyone to cheer their support for Bice — who underwent emergency surgery in Las Vegas late last week — the crowd of grandparents, kids, teens and middle-age couples enthusiastically complied."

Rock On Into The Future

I didn’t watch any of the other American Idol series, but after watching just one minute of the more recent “Stars of Tomorrow”, what can I say…I was hooked. It was nice to see a rocker who didn’t fit the “Pretty Boy” image. I hate to say it, but the women were all typical of the “Pop Diva”. Ms. Underwood was the most flexibly talented of the group and since Bo Bice had the experience and the savvy to make it on his own, I’m glad she won. She needed the boost of all that American Idol has to offer. Bo has all he needs including a large fan base to make it on his own. He got the national exposure during American Idol and now he can run with it.

I was in New Jersey for the opening of the American Idol Tour and although it started rather slow, by the end of the first half, even my 67 year-old mother was up and dancing. We all sat outside the arena and were very surprised to see many young children in attendance. I’ve seen parents take their children to many events that were inappropriate, but this concert was a great way to bond with children of any age and expose them to live infectious music. With the price of concert tickets going through the roof, I found this more than worth the money. My nieces (8 and 10) sang all the way home.

I was shocked by the news of Bo’s illness and wish him a speedy recovery. This would be a great time to reflect on his past successes and get the wheels of creativity rolling so that, when healthy again, he can take his much deserved place behind the microphone and “ROCK ON”!

Can't See Bice Twice

My daughter and I went to see the "Bo Show" in July on Long Island. We
enjoyed it so much that I surprised her with tickets for the September
7th performance. To say the least we were extremely disappointed that
he won't be there, but first and foremost he will be in our prayers for
a full recovery. He's a great guy and a super performer. I can't wait
for a CD and his own concert tours!!! Everybody give him really strong
good thoughts and prayers. He deserves it.

Missed Bo in San Jose

On Saturday August 20, me and my Bo loving friend went to the San Jose concert. We were aware that Bo had taken ill on. But, since there had been no official announcement we remained hopeful long into the second part of the concert until Anthony's announcement. In a respectful way he told the audience that Bo was not there due to illness. There was a collective sigh of pain from the audience that was eased Bo's video performance of Vehicle. Then the stage went black. As if that's all folks. Then strains of "Sweet Home Alabama" started up. Then, Constantine came out wearing the white tunic top leading the men in a 'tear the house down version' of Bo's signature song. There was a joyful reception of the tribute and the show continued. Yet,there was a poignant moment when Carrie sang her "Broken Road" without Bo. The spirit of Bo was evoked by his idols buddies.

Bo Rocked L.A.

I can't tell you how great the show at Staples in L.A. was. Bo generated all the energy in the house and his performance was memorable. Everyone was on their feet just screaming and dancing by their seats. This morning I was very unhappy to learn Bo was in the hospital . I can only hope and send my prayers to him to get well very soon. I and millions of others are waiting for his new cd and a new tour one day. Best wishes to Bo for the very best of good health always. Karen Silver

I'm Going To Miss Bo In Concert

I think it is sad that Bo will not be going on the concert when it reaches my area. We were really looking forward to seeing him live.
I hope and pray he will get well soon, and also that this injury will not affect the opening of his album. My Mom sent an email to Bo(found email off a website) and the one she got back was so short that we are sure it was automatic. I don't even think he will read any emails he gets, though I hope he does. To show that he can't ever, though I doubt he will, let this injury stop him from being the best he possibly can.
We will still make our signs for Bo!! He is still there in spirit, even if not in body.

Wishing Bo Well

I have to admit I went to Sacramento's concert to see Bo Bice and was really disappointed he wasn't there. I had no idea how serious his condition was. My prayers are with him and his family. I didn't leave empty handed though I feel the American Idols put on a great show. I still got to see another favorite and that is Constantine. I feel all of the idols really know how to get the audience going, so great job to all of them. I just can't wait to see Bo in concert when he gets well. This was by far the best American Idol. Everyone is very talented and I wish them all many years performing for us. Annette in Folsom Ca.

Surgery In Vegas For Bice

http://www.decaturdaily.com/
"Bo Bice's health problems have worsened.

Surgeons at Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas operated on Bice on Friday night for a stomach ailment, according to his grandmother, "Granny Madge" Schofield of Somerville.

She said her daughter and Bice's mother, Nancy Downes, phoned from Birmingham on Friday about 7:30 p.m. to tell her that Bice was "about to go into surgery. She phoned Saturday about 2 a.m. and told me that Bo came through the surgery well."

San Jose Concert Review (Without Bo)

What a shock it was to see that Bo would not be performing at the San Jose AI concert on August 20. And, it looks like he is out for the count as far as the rest of the tour goes. On Friday the 19th Bo had to undergo emergency surgery to remove an intestinal blockage. According to comments made by family and bandmates the surgery "saved his life." According to news we've heard he came through the surgery alright, but will need about 6 weeks to recover. All of us will keep him in our thoughts for a smooth and full recovery. That is what is most important.

The concert was a lot of fun, but the loss of Bo to the line up put an obvious dent in the overall show, especially for all of us avid fans who might not have only bought tickets to see him live. Where Bo would normally have been introduced, only the briefest comment was made that he was not performing because he was ill. They showed a video of one of his earlier tour performances of "Vehicle" and then the guys lead "Sweet Home Alabama." I think it was unfortunate that they did not indicate the seriousness of the illness that led to his absense, even if it was only to mention that he was in the hospital and had required surgery. Left as vague as it was, for all the audience knew, he could have had a cold or a hang nail. At the end of the video one or two boos could be heard, although for the most part the thousands and thousands of people who attended seemed more subdued and disappointed rather than angry. But, Bo has proven himself a gutsy, self-sacrificing, "show-must-go-on" performer, performing on a broken foot, and not missing a show. This medical crisis is quite serious yet the audience was left totally in the dark. In talking to a number of people after the show was over, it was clear that no one knew what had happened. It would have been much fairer to Bo to let the audience know that it was a very serious illness that had kept him away and to ask them to keep him in their thoughts for a speedy recovery. It was nice to see Jessica Sierra and Constantine Margoulis wearing Bo Bice t's when the entire cast came back for the group numbers.

Except for this rather unhappy observation, we enjoyed the show, and were very pleased to see how some of the idols have grown since their departure from the AI television show. This is a very talented group of people. And the live performances really provided the opportunity for some of them to show how much better they are than their early departure from the show would have suggested. Every one of these people deserved to be there.

So...I'll say it...Keep Bo in your thoughts. Wish him well.

Bo Gets Food Poisoning

http://www.decaturdaily.com
"Food poisoning briefly sidelined Bo Bice during the American Idols Live! concert tour, and a traffic accident seriously injured his half-brother while driving home from a concert, according to family members.

"Granny Madge" Schofield of Somerville, Bice's grandmother, said the rock star became ill on stage during a show at Grand Prairie, Texas, on Aug. 13.

"He got food poisoning, and an ambulance took him to the hospital, where he remained overnight," Schofield said. "I believe he went on for one song but became so ill he couldn't return. He's fine now."

Bice On Fame

"If I fade away and nobody ever thinks about me again, that's cool, I'm still going to be sittin' and whittlin' away at my music," he says. "I mean, I've been doing this for my entire life, and I'm not going to stop just because people quit buying my albums. I'll just keeping putting my albums out and go back to selling them out of the trunk of my car."

Bo Rocks Oklahoma

I bought tickets on Ebay to the concert in Norman Oklahoma as soon as they went on sale and was not disappointed. They said that this concert held at the Lloyd Nobel Center was their smallest venue. Well, I think that allowed great seats for all. Bo did a fabulous job. He sings from his heart and won over a crowd that was there to see Carrie. The talent level that he and Carrie both have is 10 times that of any of the other Idol contestants. I personally think he outshines Carrie. He sang Sweet Home Alabama which brought everyone to their feet.

When Bo played the guitar and piano he showed me and many others again why he should have won the Idol competition. His talents don't end. Even with a broken foot he kept the house rockin and put on a great show and what a sense of humor. The range of songs he performs so well blows me away. I can not wait for his album to come out and look forward to catching him in concert. A fan forever.

Bice In St. Louis

I saw the American Idol concert Tuesday night in St. Louis, and gave away my ticket to see Motley Crue. Why?? BO of course. He did sing as he did on the show, but he also played guitar, and that is when he shines the brightest. The crowd, including the "Carrie People" were mesmerized. I can't wait till he tours with his band. I heard that he felt uncomfortable during the competition singing without his guitar, but if he had, we would be saying "Carrie who?" He is as much a thrill to watch as he is to hear.

Bo did have the cast on his foot, and the high energy he normally exudes was a little tame, but he makes up for that somehow. He is looking very thin. They say television adds ten pounds, but he looks 20 pounds thinner than he did on tv. I hope the concert tour and the broken foot aren't proving to be his kryptonite. Everyone else put on a good show, but Bo has something none of the rest have, maybe it's the hair, or the personality and charisma, or maybe the talent, but he puts it all together in the most unbelievable way. Go see him, he doesn't disappoint.

Another Chicago Bo Fan

I went to the Chicago concert on Monday night and
had a blast! I think of all performances Bo was
best despite him being on "one" leg the whole
time. I felt so bad for him, but he made it
through with a smile on his face and
sang/performed great as always!
I was, but wan't surprised that he got more
recognition that Carrie. It took a long time for
the crowd to settle down when he came out.
My opinion is and always will be this...Bo should
have won the competition. Carrie is good and I
like her but he has everyone's hearts and the
talent to make it big!
LOVE YOU BO!!

Bice In Detroit

http://blogcritics.org/
"There were moments during Bice's performance in Detroit that were painful to watch. (I will warn you!) No, he was not missing lyrics; the painful part comes in watching him navigating that big stage, air-cast in tow, trying not letting it stop or slow him down. The effort of performing lwith the cast does impact his delivery of "Vehicle", but when he finally stops, stands and delivers the rest of the song, his voice commands the venue."

Includes Bo's first "cast" picture that I've seen.

Sonia's Opinion of The Chicago Concert

"Went to the american idol concert last night. It was very good, even though seats were not the greatest. 2 words Bo rocks. The only thing, Bo leave your hair down, you look way more sexier, not that your not sexy. Also, is Bo ok he looked skinnier. Can't wait to see him again in concert with his own band and with his foot all healed. I know it sounds like it was all about Bo. I thought Jessica, Nikko, Vonzell, and Anthony even with his one bad note were awesome. I was upset that Bo didn't sing Inside your heaven and Carrie did, i thought she didn't do justice to the song. Bo Chicago Loves you come back soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

|

Another Chicago Review

I went to this concert so excited to see Bo live and I was not disappointed. Despite his limping on stage, I say a limping Bo is still better than no Bo at all. He performed Desperado, Vehicle, Voodoo Child (cranking that opening riff on his guitar!!!) and Sweet Home Alabama. I would have liked to have heard I Don't Wanna Be, but his performance was 100% all the way. Bo on his worst day is a million times better than Scott and Anthony on their very best days. Nice voice cracking, Anthony..how much are you getting paid???

|

What I Thought About The Chicago Show...

Just got back from the Idol Tour in Chicago. I was surprised at quite a few things...... Anthony did a whole lot better than I had expected; Nadia's song choices were not the best;
Nikko can move; and Jessica was superb! The biggest surprise for me was Bo's appearance. His trademark hair was pulled back! Ugh! And he was limping and looks like he lost a ton of weight. Didn't look at all like he's been lookin' !
The things that didn't surprise me............Bo sang his heart out; Carrie did a great job; Baby V. was just as great as I thought she would be; Scotty the Body was just as off key and boring with his walking from side to side; Constantine's grin was still mesmerizing; and Anwar was great!
All in all it was a great show.......very entertaining. We were on the main floor........just wish those kids in the front didn't hold up their "pop tart" signs all night. They blocked our view of the stage. Ended it with everyone out there singing "Lean on Me" and "Rockin' in the USA."
Fabulous!

Bice Not Appreciated in Cleveland

http://www.cleveland.com
"Bice was on crutches after breaking his right foot during a gig Sunday in New Hampshire. The injury didn't stop him from rocking out on "Sweet Home Alabama." Unfortunately, he didn't perform his signature tune, "I Don't Want to Be," opting instead for so-so stabs at "Desperado" and "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)."

Seeing Bice In Birmingham...

I thought all the contestants did a great job! It was a great show, I hated to see it end! They sounded great live. I thought Bo and Carrie couldn't sound any better. (That was before I heard them live!) I got to sit with Bo's family in Birmingham. I love his grandmother! She was clapping and having a great time! I think Nikko reminded me of Usher! He had some awsome dance moves. It was good to see everyone perform all together again. Since the concert I went to was in Birmingham Bo got more attention than Carrie but she did a great job too!

Bo Stole The Show

Just saw the Live concert last night, .... and it was fabulous!! Much more than I ever expected. Bo stole the show (in my opinion), but others like Vonzell, Nadia, and Jessica were fabulous!! Those girls know how to rock the stage! On the other hand, watching Scott walk (slowly) from one end of the stage to the other was less than boring, as was his comments and performances.... and Carrie, well, yes, she won, ... but you won't be impressed with her performance. Anthony has come a long way, and gets better every time I see him, I liked him better live than on the show! All in all, was it worth the price of the ticket.... absolutely yes,.... as a group, .... they rocked the house!

Bo Does The Sunset Strip

http://www.mtv.com/
"We're gonna give him a chance to prove himself, heavy metal-style," guitarist Satchel tells the capacity crowd as he tears into the opening riff of Guns N' Roses' "Sweet Child O' Mine."

Bice smiles, grabs the mic and belts out a squeal that would make Axl Rose proud. He tosses his hat and swings his long hair in the air, saluting the room with double metal horns. He kicks in with the vocals just in time, nailing every line. By mid-song, he's racing around the stage, striking poses with the band. The crowd is going nuts. "

Bo Rocked But The Others...

http://www.al.com/
"But seeing Bice run across the stage in leather pants, singing his first single, "Vehicle," was only a small part of this poorly produced and awkwardly choreographed show.

Bice's solo portion lasted maybe 10-15 minutes and included Gavin DeGraw's "I Don't Want to Be" (strong) Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" (a real crowd-pleaser) and Jimi Hendrix's "Vodoo Child" (gutsy for "Idol" and a guitar-driven highlight.)"

Grandma Liked The Show

"Saw the Idol concert Wednesday - Bo stole the show - my other favorite Constantine rocked the house too -- sad that he wasn't mentioned in the St Pete review of the concert. But then, Carrie was only mentioned in passing, which I thought was fitting, since she was probably the least interesting act of all. Still don't get it...But I'm still thinking about Constantine and Bo...and I'm a grandma! Whew...they were HOT!"

It says Vocals and guitar by Ritchie Sambora, but they forgot to put Bo as the vocalist!! I'd ask for more money if I was Bo!

Also, if they reprint a correction, all of us with the original will have a new "collectible."

Bo Is An Awesome Singer

Hey! I just wanna say I was disappointed with the verdict of American Idol 4. I do like Carrie Underwood but I have the feeling that Bo Bice will make it BIG. When I heard Freebird I got chills...same with that acapella song. Whether you like Bo or not, you have to give him credit for that one. It was a very Gutsy move on his part. However, I'd like to know when he is going to release a CD. I will be there the first day it comes out. I think Bo has a great sound and I really hope that everything works out for him because he deserves it. If anyone knows when his CD comes out, I'd really like to know. Go Bo!!!!

"Meanwhile, over on the singles chart, the American Idol-spawned "Inside Your Heaven" was tops for a second straight week. But this time, it was runner-up Bice's rendition that outsold all comers, moving 106,000. While Underwood's version slipped to second with 71,000 copies, she did sell more first-week copies (130,000) than her former TV rival. Bice and Underwood will go at it again on the album charts this fall, when their solo albums are due to drop."

Bo Releases "Inside Your Heaven"

http://www.easternecho.com
"Bo Bice's single, released next Tuesday (what, are they afraid of competition?), gives a more emotionally subdued and suitably rockier spin to "Inside Your Heaven". It's fairly certain that those who find Carrie's take a tad too trite will find refuge in Bo's interpretation.

Even though the aforementioned key change seems to be a bit harsh on his voice, Bo takes it all in stride and by the end of the song ends up a definite winner. It's on the B-side, however, that Bo really shows his strength as a vocalist. "Vehicle" is enough to make any fan wait with bated breath for his debut album on a major label."

Bo In Tennessee

http://www.realitytvmagazine.com
"Bo Bice also paid a trip to Tennessee. Bo’s no stranger to Tennessee as his Sugar Money bandmates John Cooper and Shane Sexton currently reside in Tennessee. According to Jambands.com, Bo Bice was the “Grand Marshall during Bonnaroo’s annual Centeroo parade” and made a “surprise appearance” with the band Galatic. Bonnaroo is a rock festival held in Manchester, Tennessee that draws about 90,000 fans. "

The Bo Tour Package

We are now officially beginning the Bo Tour project.

We are going to have all donations first collected and sent to a central location where they will be distributed into gift baskets by venue. If you would like to request your donation be sent to a specific venue please make that known when you send your package. If you are willing to help with the delivery at a venue please send me a pm stating that. The venues that DO NOT have anyone in person to help deliver I will be sending them by express mail. The person helping me with this at RHT is in contact with Bo's aunt and Bo will have knowledge of these packages prior to their arrival so there should not be any problem with them reaching him.She has done this with several AI stars in the past and has had great success.

I Can't Believe Bo Didn't Win

It was a complete shock that Bo didn't win American Idol. . . .he won my heart over the first time he opened up his mouth to sing. He had such a genuine sensitivity to his singing, coming directly from the bottom of his soul. . . .he touched me deeply. I'm a 58 year old mother of three. . . .and I promise you I will be the first in line to buy Bo's first CD and will play it over and over until the next one comes out!!!! He truly is an "American idol".

Bo and Spirtuality

Bo Bice rose from Helena, AL USA- but where is he REALLY from? A child of the universe? A speck of the divine brought here for the revival of man? Or is he just a boy from 'bama' who has the power to rip into our 'beating hearts' and take us away with him in a single glance? You decide. However, irrespective of where he came from he's here NOW- how do we honour such a man?

He draws us to him by his undeniable talent, and manages to keep us transfixed by the iridescent light that shines from within him. All he has to do is open his mouth, deliver a note and instantaneously he lights up our WORLD. Is this gift that he possesses due to his religious background? Perhaps. But I can state with conviction that although I don't share all his religious beliefs- I still love him like my neighbour...His spirituality is the obviously a major reason why he is the man he is today- So differing beliefs should be a non issue. AS HE LOVES ALL OF US UNCONDITIONALLY ENOUGH TO POUR HIS HEART AND SOUL INTO HIS MUSIC FOR US, SO TOO MUST WE RESPECT AND ADORE EVERYTHING ABOUT HIS STRUGGLE AS A PERFORMER AND HIS BEAUTIFUL HUMAN NATURE.

Yes he's sexy, yes he's vocally talented, yes he's spiritual, yes he's humble, and yes he loves 'his momma'- but are all those combined qualities what attracts us to him? Or is it something else? I can't quite put my finger on it, but I can affirm that he has lovingly acquired a space in our hearts with his 'pure soul', and he's here to stay!

We must not play into any negativity written down about him...he is too precious a person and an artist to ridicule, objectify or underestimate- he deserves the love and adoration of the world. I realise that we live in times of great cynicism and apathy, but we must take a stand for Bo. We should not tolerate or perpetuate anymore rumours and innuendos.

He stands for love and freedom, so we must honour his work by giving him the same in return i.e.; to love him along his artistic journey, and to give him the freedom to live tranquilly amongst his own. It has become extremely apparent that Bo has a legion of loyal fans, and I have a feeling that he has only just begun with his loyalty towards us in return- so let's keep up with this magnificence, and we will reap the rewards!!

Three's a deep-seated happiness within me now...I've never felt this way about a person I have never actually met before! I feel light and free and 'at home' when I think about Bo and his work thus far....comforting euphoria. (Can I get a witness?!).

Bo, as your appeal broadens let it happen with the realisation that it is out of your hands now...once you've been bitten by the 'BOmagic' bug then the magic is in the bloodstream for life. You have created this with your beauty and generous spirit...I feel so incredibly blessed that I can even write about the phenomena that is BO BICE. This is a moment in our arguably mundane lives that will NEVER be forgotten and will always be silently treasured. Here's to a man who is so deserving that he is 'shocked' by all the delightful mayhem he has inspired! Here's to Bo Bice!!

" ONE CAN ONLY STARE IN AWE AND WONDER AT A SOUL SO PURE THAT IT CHALLENGES THE DARKEST DREAD AND COMES OUT ON TOP EVERY TIME. "

Don't Be Sad For Bo

BO BICE IS AWESOME – BUT LET’S FACE IT. NOT WINNING AMERICAN IDOL WAS PROBABLY IN HIS BEST INTEREST. HE IS NOW FREE AND CLEAR TO DO HIS OWN THING – AND WE ALL KNOW HOW WONDERFUL THAT IS! HAD HE WON AMERICAN IDOL, HE WOULD HAVE BEEN SOMEWHAT COMMITTED TO THEM FOR AT LEAST THE FIRST YEAR. HE DOESN’T NEED ANY RESTRAINTS – HE IS A REMARKABLE TALENT THAT WE’VE ALL BEEN LOOKING FOR. MY ONLY REGRET IS THAT I HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO SEE HIM PERFORM SINCE THE FINALE – BUT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO THE UPCOMING AMERICAN IDOL TOUR – ALREADY HAVE MY TICKETS FOR GREENSBORO, NC. I’LL ALSO BE PURCHASING EVERY CD HE COMES OUT WITH. CARRIE IS A TALENTED PERFORMER, AS WELL, BUT BO BICE COMPLETELY WON ME OVER FROM DAY ONE. AS A MUSICIAN MYSELFT, I CAN SAY WITHOUT QUESTION THAT BO WILL HAVE A FANTASTIC CAREER – AND I’LL BE WATCHING EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.

Bo Goes Back To Church

http://www.al.com
"Bice, 29, returned to his spiritual home this weekend, attending an 11:15 a.m. service in the church's fellowship hall in Shelby County. About 200 members of the flock were there to embrace him, and to congratulate Bice on his second-place finish on the Fox TV reality series. "

Caribbean Bice Fan

I had never been interested in American Idol before but after coming across Bo that changed everything. I kept looking to see what he'd bring next and he didn't disappoint. I'm from the island of Barbados and even though I could not vote I just knew that when he made it (because there was no doubt in our minds) that his would be the one CD I'd buy.

He comes across as the good guy. What you see is what you get, nothing pretencious, just a guy who enjoys what he's doing. Now I'm just going to sit back and watch Mr. Bolicious Bice's career just take off.

Bo - The Next Elvis

Bo Bice is a remarkable entertainer and human being.
He brought such excitement on AI, and I truly believe he should of been
the
winner. But, in my eyes; and I am sure too the rest of the country he
already won.
His performances were consistent all the time. He rocked. I believe
that
we have witnessed greatness. I also believe that we will look back, and
tell
our grandchildren how Mr. Bice got started.
Bo the next Elvis, definitely. Rock on Bo and I look forward to buying
tickets to your upcoming concerts.

Bo - Fantasy Man Part 2

"WOW racs, you hit the nail on the head when you said "BO - FANTASY MAN"! He truly does seem to be close to a perfect guy - a TAKE CHARGE MALE who can also show a sensual and sensitive side. There are very few men that fit this category but hopefully BO will inspire more men to become this type of man.

What a gifted person he is when he can inspire us to be happier by belting out a tune with his beautiful voice and passionate delivery. What a lucky person his significant other is!

My moods are also made better by hearing his voice (of course a visual to go with the voice is even better!).

Thank you Bo Bice for bringing back the art of Rock and Roll and wonderful memories!

Much love to Bo, family and fans. Of course lets not forget to thank his mother and grandmother for such a wonderful person!

Bice's New Car

http://www.al.com/
"Appropriately enough, the rocker from Helena on Friday picked out a brand-new vehicle, a 2005 Jack Roush high-performance Mustang courtesy of Town & Country Ford in Bessemer.

Bice, who won the car for making it to the final round of "American Idol," had to choose between mineral gray and torch red.

"Red," he said after test-driving both cars. "I got to go with the red."

Can Bice Win Over Rock Fans?

http://www.rollingstone.com
""When you go on American Idol, you've sold your soul to a point," says judge Simon Cowell. "If you try to revert back to being a rocker, the audience might say, 'I don't believe you anymore.'"
Similarly, getting time on rock radio looks to be an uphill battle for Bice. "Credible rock radio won't go near it," says KROQ DJ Stryker. "But with the right band behind him, he could be a 3 Doors Down, Creed type of singer." And, as Cowell points out, "He won't need rock radio to build his career.""

Bo - Fantasy Man

I have figured it out…why women are going crazy over Bo…. He takes hold of that microphone stand like he ‘knows’ exactly what to do with it. He owns each and every song that he sings and he takes immaculate care of that song… delivering the lyrics with passion and conviction, whilst tenderly ‘loving’ his art. Many women can see a correlation between his on stage persona and him as a man and a lover…women (myself included) are starved for a version of that “alpha” take charge male who can also demonstrate his sensual and sensitive side. That rough’n’ready look that he possesses is merely a fraction of our attraction to him, there is A LOT more to it (right girls?) Bo Bice has definitely roused most of our senses- although taste and touch may only be available to one significant other (never mind girls)!!.

Will this be the beginning of the end of the clean cut glamour boys who have been thrown in our faces via our television screens?- doubt it. However, due to Bo’s recent exposure, we certainly have been given a taste of something delightfully delicious to come….. Let us just hope that it doesn’t get taken away!!! That is why I IMPLORE Bice fans to buy his work, and to tell everyone you know about him..I’am sure as the sun that rises in the east that your friends will be forever grateful to you once they hear him sing.

I have my work cut out for me here in Australia…still pushing to get his first album even released!! So if you’ve got the chance to support him then DO IT anyway you can… because we certainly don’t want to see him out of the limelight ever again!! The emergence of Bo Bice has made me passionate excited and hopeful all over again….The man is TRULY gifted- I have become a better person to be around, because all I have to do when I feel down is to hear his soulful voice in my mind and all the pain gets washed away…. If that isn’t a gift then I don’t know what is! SUPPORT BO ALL THE WAY!

Lots of Love to Bo, his family & fans

Bo On "The Early Show"

http://www.cbsnews.com/
"He says, "I'm very excited, not only for the career that I'm about to kick off with the group I'm with, but when I say the word legitimate, I don't mean that taking away from anyone else. But to be a legitimate songwriter and legitimate musician who plays an instrument, 'American idol' was really not the foreground for that. So I think it's a vocal contest. She's an incredible vocalist, and she does a great job. So my gig is to write songs, and to jam them out."

More Bice On Regis

I was watching Bo Bice on Regis & Kelly this morning and actually still cannot believe he didn't win as he is just as personable and darling as always....not to mention talented! I then got in my car to work and heard a song on the Oldies station that I KNOW of which he could make a Really big remake, especially with that great voice. It was This Old Heart of Mine originally done by the Isleys then by Rod Stewart. If he was to mix a little rock with some good old R&B, I'd buy one for everyone in my family........just a thought!

Why Bo Lost (Tounge In Cheek)

http://www.journalnow.com/

"By contrast, the new old South, the loser, includes Deep South states such as Alabama, home of Bo Bice, 29, who is not our American Idol. He came in second on Wednesday night, ceding the stage kindly to Underwood as soon as her name was announced. In Bice's long-gone version of the South, people are still Democrats, or at least hippies and outlaws, and they're kind of mad and trapped and defeatist.

Come on, didn't you know Bice would lose when he sang Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama"? "In Birmingham they love the governor." Of the 75 or so viewers who actually paid attention to the lyric, it can't have landed easily: A white Southern man singing nostalgically about segregation. "We all did what we could do." And then there's the part where Bice (attended, at the live show on Wednesday, by Lynyrd Skynyrd itself) deplored Washington hypocrisy, invoking the crimes of Watergate: "Does your conscience bother you?"
Tell the truth. No one wants to be bothered by conscience or even asked about it. Underwood sets us free, while Bice, disgusted by the dishonesty of the federal government, longs to go back to the Southland.

And so he's been sent home."

Help Bo Out

Hello!
I'm a member over at the american idol boards, don't know if you've been by there lately but they have a poll on their main site which lists the choice of favorite performance from the finale, Bo had the lead in the beginning with a whopping 74% then a huge # of carrie fans overturned it, for whatever reason we've never been able to take back the lead. Most people believe that Bo's performance with skynryd was the best of the night and we Power BOters on the Idol boards are doing what we can to try and correct the results of the poll as we've done with others but we need major BOting help with this one as we're so far behind, down to 39%! if you can please post an alert on your site to urge all Bo fans to go by the Idol site and help us I would very much appreciate it! Bo deserves to be on top! Thanks for reading.

Bo Loved In Canada

Bo is an incredible performer and I am sure that record sales will soar when his debut album is released. For his fans, his album release date is not soon enough.

He certainly set himself apart from the formula driven "American Idol". Clearly, Bo Bice not only brought back to light an incredible entertainer, but brought back true rock and roll to the forefront of American music lovers of all ages.

While Carrie should not be disputed as a second fiddle, due to her own incredible talent, her music is another genre. Bo is representing a certain fan - a die hard rock fan of a lost generation, with a new spin of the old sound.

As much as most wanted Bo to win American Idol - the journey is just beginning.

Bice Single #1

http://www.realitytvmagazine.com

Bo Bice might have come in second on American Idol, but his new single is currently in first place on the Barnes & Noble.com Bestsellers list for music. Bo Bice’s single includes the songs “Inside Your Heaven” and “Vehicle.” An impressive debut especially when you factor in that the single is only currently available for pre-order and won’t be released until June 21, 2005.

Still Stunned About Bice

I'm English, have never watched American Idol before this series - and will probably never watch it again after the fiasco of a 'Finale'.
I came across the programme quite by accident while flicking though the television channels one Friday night, and initially got drawn in by the pure hilarity of the opening auditions. Although my husband mocked me, I continued to tune in for it every week, mainly for the laughs - until I heard Bo - and was simply blown away by his stage-presence, his 'look', and that fabulous, raunchy voice.
From the second week of the elimination rounds, I worried about him - not least that he would undergo some kind of appalling 'make-over' or go down the Constantine 'anything to get a vote' route. I worried even more after the truly talented, stylish and original Nadia Turner was eliminated, but by then, the judges, even my countryman Cowell, seemed to have joined the multitude of Bo fans on-line and the baying crowds in the live audiences and (mostly) showered Bo with praise.
After Bo's total triumph of a semi-final, the song choices for the 'Finale' itself were absolutely ludicrous and - even worse - the judges, especially Cowell, seemed to have undergone some kind of brainwashing which enabled them not to hear Carrie Underwood sing her three dirges out of tune, and, as has been widely suggested on the Internet, with all the emotion and vitality of a Stepford Wife.
To be fair, the songs chosen for Bo, with the possible exception of 'Vehicle' which he allegedly chose himself, were also dirges, but, as always he more than carried the tunes safely and at least tried to generate some emotion.
Was it a fix? Almost certainly.
Could it have been better disguised?
Perhaps - maybe they'll pull it off better in the next series, but only if Cowell isn't too arrogant to learn to veil his bias more effectively. For me, the abrupt change from his lavish praise of the previous week to his scathing disinterest in Bo's performance was suspicious to say the least. During the series, I've always liked Simon's blunt and acutely accurate appraisals and have felt, even when I didn't totally agree with him, that he was telling what he believed to be the truth. In this instance, however, I suspect that in the interests of wringing the last cent for the almighty dollar , he either lied in order to try to manipulate the gullible amongst American voters - or he lied to give credence to what 'the vote' would eventually be said to prove.
If he did lie, then as an Englishwoman, I am ashamed of him - even though I must add that as a rock music lover, I'm not totally sorry that Bo didn't win - I'm actually rather relieved that he won't be stiffed with the atrocious songs which Carrie will be forced to churn out - I don't dislike her - in fact, she seems like a very nice girl - but is 'nice' enough?
To be blunt - who cares? Like thousands of others, I can't wait for Bo's CD to come out - win or 'lose', for me he has it all - and while I also agree with the often expressed opinion that he seems to be a true 'Southern gentleman', when he struts the stage and shakes that wild hair, when he looks directly into camera, opens his mouth and that fantastically super-sexy, electrifying sound pours out of him, he looks and sounds more like an irresistable mixture of angel and demon-lover - totally and absolutely dee-li-cious - what a lucky, lucky woman his girlfriend is!
To sum up what has turned out to be a long post, in the weeks during which my first (and last) series of American Idol played out, I think we all were priveleged to see something rare and precious take place - the birth of a true star - wouldn't it be ironic if he eventually out-sold Carrie and all those who 'won' the competition before him - one can only continue to support him and hope.

AI Rigged?

Hi there! I read your posting on bo-bikce-american-idol.blogspot.com and I agree with everyone that BO was cheated out of the TITLE. Matter of fact, Randy and Simon (him in particular) are now on TV gloating about the fact that they said (on Tuesday) that Carrie was the winner, picked her a long time ago to win and JUST KNEW IT (of course they knew she was ... since the CD was already made/recorded and ready for release and we always know that the FIRST SINGER is the American Idol winner and that person was none other than Carrie ... did you know that one?). Read on and you will see a lot of peculiarities! Rigged is what I call it. Why not be fair. Actually, I was disgusted when I knew Clay had to win and Reuben gloated so much ... I have never ever bought any of his CDs and have all of Clay's. But with Fantasia ... she was the winner all the way and Diana was great and a second place winner/contestant/idol, etc. I liked her second best and bought two of hers. I will never ever buy Carrie's but will buy all of Bo's ... and he will show the world (as Clay did) ... coming in second can still MEAN NUMBER ONE! And all the polls, USA Today, TV Guide and AOL ... all showed 60 something percent for Bo. So, what happened except RIGGED! Good luck with your web site, postings, etc. and keep me informed too ... thank you! Sunny ;-)

Missing Bo Already

Bo, I already miss your sweet sound so much, it's almost unbearable....as I read all the comments on this site post results show, one thing resonates with me- there is hope after all, people really do 'get' it. Bo Bice wasn't just a contestant on AI- he is a truly deserving star in the making. I have finally realised that there really isn't any need to look back anymore, what's done is done (it may not have been right), but it's done.

The crucial thing to remember here is that WE HAVE FINALLY FOUND YOU BO, you probably don't even realise the mass hysteria that you have created....people are raving about you like they've known you all their lives...you have hit a nerve that scintillates the essence of our humanity...you have ABSOLUTELY left your mark on us, and all you did was 'be yourself'. I think that in itself is very telling; we seem to be on the verge of a shift from the extravagant mediocrity that we have idolised to the extraordinary and substantial that we now crave to idolise- all we needed was a soul to inspire the change, and I'm more convinced everyday that you are the right man for the position Bo Bice.

Perhaps it can be argued that some are not ready, or don't know how to ease into the new era of music that Bo has inspired...Even though I'm not old enough to have lived through the struggles of the people that came before me...I do know this 'that without struggle there is no progress' (who said that?)

Bo has unleashed something in us that can no longer be tamed...from what I've felt, read, heard and seen- we are going to go ALL THE WAY on that wild ride with him...we no longer need to search for our idol- we have found him. He is beyond formalities and greater than 'titles' that appear to be worth so little these days.

Bo, has been previously described by me as being a 'rebel with a cause', and we in turn have rebelled- we still see him as our IDOL despite the outcome. We see his imperfections as being perfectly real-we've accepted and adored him from the first time we saw him perform, it's hard to fake genius- although many have tried! Many have exclaimed that HE IS THE REAL DEAL....we know this because it is as clear as the nose on our face!!

So in conclusion, to all you forlorn fans out there, try to remember this...BO BICE is now and hopefully forever on the scene, as long as we support him by buying his music and treasuring his lyrics- there will be no stopping him. We need to move past how he got here, and focus on where he's going and how we can help him get there. He has secured a place in our hearts and now it is time for us to give something back to him. Support the struggle of a man who put it all on the line for us...

Lot's of Love and Energy to Bo, his family and his fans

Bice Has The "It" Factor

Just to say that the wrong person was chosen as American Idol. Like others, I can't help but imagine that something is amiss on this show. I'm not denegrating Carrie. She is pretty and homespun and has talent in her genre. She did what she had to do. But Bo has......."it." When he performs he is electric. A light flies from him, his music, directly to members of the audience and moves us in ways that Carrie can only dream of right now (in my view). The only thing that keeps me from deepest disappointment that Bo didn't get the title is the knowledge that he will do fine over the long haul: he will make records with the best; people in the business will beat a path to work with him and support him. Every celebrity interviewed anywhere all said they were routing for Bo. And I predict that his records will outsell Miss Underwood's every time. So, I thank Bo for saving the AI season for this fan. He kept me watching. It was a spirited journey. ShellyPS: I wish someone would send the comments on this site to Fox and particularly to Am. Idol. They need to know how so many of us feel and what it makes us think about our future with AI and the possible manipulation therein!

The Fix Is In

I have decided that American Idol is a fluke, I tried to call to vote for Bo for 3 hours and could not get through, stayed up until 12:30 EST but never got through once, weeks before I managed to get in 2-3 times a night. If these lines were busy non-stop how can one get more votes than the other. Makes no sense, so I decided that there must be a pre-decision who will win as Simon said it Tuesday night that Carrie will win and Randy said it Wednesday night when he was being interviewed before the winner announced. I’m done with American Idol, I missed one show on a Tuesday and none on a Wednesday the entire season and never watched one show during the Kelly Clarkson year but I thought she was excellent and started having faith in this system so started watching with Rueben and Clay, even though I thought Clay was better and last year really didn’t care for either girl. This year I am through, American Idol has lost a fan. They should have given at least a tie as far as I am concerned.

Bice "Idolized" in England

here in england the whole "idol brand" is still not quite as commercial, or as big as it is in the u.s, but even we can see what has happened, having just seen transmission of this season's finale.....
the blue eyed blonde all-american has triumphed again, sure she can sing, but has she really got anything different to offer?
Bo Bice showed genuine artistry, a proper feel for music, and made us think that maybe this time a real singer with real talent would overcome commercialism.....but sadly not.
I would never even consider buying a cd from an "idol" american or english, until Bo's cd is released, and then i'll be first in the queue!
When you get the contract and the touring deal that you so richly deserve Bo, PLEASE come to England - we love ya!

Bice Rekindled My Interest In Music

Bo rekindled not only my personal interest in music, but I think
America's
interest in a show which thus far has promoted and marketed only
mediocre
talent.
Bo's raw energy, whiskey edged voice and passion are unlike anything
the AI
folks will ever encounter again. He is a legend in the making.
Sure Carrie is beautiful in the blonde All American way and has a very
pretty voice. But she is not a performer in the true sense of the
word. I
would not pay good money to see her in concert. A $12.95 CD would give
the
same result. Her voice will sound good on the radio and that's about
it.
Basically, she is ordinary and forgettable.
Bo, on the other hand is a voice you would recognize in an instant. He
has
it all -- the image, the voice that gives you chills, the mystical
quality
that reaches out and grabs you and won't let go. America (heck, the
world)
wants more of Bo Bice and have it we will.
AI has made a huge mistake just like the guitar shop that fired Bo when
he
made it to the finals. He is heading for Super Star status. While
Carrie
will fade into the background. There is only ONE Bo and
now that the world has seen and heard him, there will be no stopping
him.

Interview With Bo

"I'm stoked, dude. I just got off stage playing with Lynyrd Skynyrd a minute ago. It was a great show. Got to meet some incredible guests. This is the bee's knees."

Another "Former" AI Viewer

I was appauled that Carrie won the American Idol spot. She sang stiff and showed little emotion during her songs. On the other hand Bo had great stage presence almost mesmerizing.. he certainly reeled me in and I am 62 years old and a fan of the fellow he is a sweetheart....I think Carrie winning was just a financial move on the part of American Idol producers or maybe even Simon Cowell...they can promote and make more money from a country western singer than a southern rocker. It was suggested by analysts on fox the next day that due to polls that showed Bo leading by a great margin only proved that when the results showed the winner they simply decided who they wanted to win.that is why Simon was so cocky about Carrie getting the edge on Bo and predicting her win ahead of time how tacky is that.and that is what I believe..
I now pray that Bo Bice shows them that he is the true American Idol... he doesn't need the title to do his thing.. alot of people are angry... I will not watch the show next year... its not handled properly.

Good Luck Bo

Bo in my heart is a true AMERICAN IDOL. He not only is an excellent performer, but he is a person with alot of class. He has shown time and time again that he is a kind and caring man.
ANY SON, that stands on stage in front of millions of people, winks and says "I love you mom" is a truly genuine person, no phony there! I Love BO and hope to listen to him and see him in concert for years to come. Wish him good luck and good fortune.
BO YOU DESERVE IT!!!

Bo Is The Real Winner

I thought Bo showed such class, showed a genuine happiness for Carrie. Iknow he wanted to win the AI title, but he will be the real winner. I wasblown away by his manners, his grace, his style. Wow! He is such abeautiful man. Had a feeling that Carrie was going to take the show, but tome, Bo is the real winner for so many reasons. Can't wait to get some of hisCD's!!! Ordered some of the ones already from his Sugar Money site. Ready tohear the radio stations give him some airtime.

Done With AI

Winner or not, with a huge worldwide base of the rock fans, Bo has a verygood chance to be an international star.Carrie will probably remain as a domestic Diva.I didn't watch AI before BO and I am not going to watch it after him, because this kind of talent you can't except every year. Bo was so absolutely refreshing and I miss his friendly face and beautifulsmile.BTW, I think, that something stinks in AI!

Dear Bo,

Dear Bo,

God Bless You, Bo. thanks for sharing your talent with us! I know we will see more of you!

Bo--The Real Idol

"It's a long, long road" but Bo you made it and all the way to Canada. We love you here and think you are going to rock our worlds for many many years to come. I am so glad that I actually turned on the TV one day and you were performing on AI. You got me hoocked on your voice and on your performances every single week. A week without Bo, is simply not a week. You're the real thing Bo and forever my Idol.

Bo--Too Many Odds

quite simply the producers favored Carrie from day one. Note that Bo nevereven had his initial try out shown until late in the show, that even thenight before Simon indirectly dismissed Bo, and the new songs were fittedspecifically to be better for a country singer. IMO America never needed tovote - Simon did all the voting. The only good news is that Bo wont have to sing those gawd aweful songs(talk about uninspired) and can stay true to himself. I expect producerswill line up for someone with his level of professionalism and showmanship(in fact, I predict that unlike what Simon said, Bo will outsell Carriehands down).

Moderator Commentary: Bo The Closer--Why Bice Will Win

"When you ain't got nothing, you got nothing to lose"...Bob Dylan

Carrie is the demographically perfect American Idol. Good looking, great voice, and sings the sort of mainstream music that the bulk of the AI audience listens to. She was the heavy favorite for a good reason and should she fulfill everyone's expectations, she wins.

Bo is very much the anti-Carrie. Most of his core audience wouldn't be caught dead watching a show like AI. Having someone like Bo make the show can be seen as an attempt to reach out to an audience that ignored AI during its first three seasons. Of course, he would have no chance of winning.

Bo is well past the age where most successful performers "break out". He might have had a decent band gig going, but opening for has-been hair-bands like Warrant isn't really the path to greater things. He might have been an amazingly talented performer pre-Idol, but he didn't have the ability to get noticed by the movers and shakers in the music business. He had a look and sound that, unfortunately for him, stereotypes him in a niche that is very much out of fashion. Without Idol, he would have likely remained in obscurity.

But, as people who have know Bo and have written into this blog notes, he's always wanted to be a star. AI was his one opportunity to show the world how talented and versatile he is. And, as the weeks passed, he has worked his opportunity to the fullest. He has walked a very fine line between showcasing his true artistry and following the AI formula which, in many ways, has held him back from even greater performances.

Carrie has had many excellent performances. However, she will lose because she can't compete like Bo can. The scene of her crying after Anthony got booted off...I'm not going to guess what that means, but compassion and mercy during a competition aren't the traits of winners.

Being the underdog, Bo has had to take risks in the competition...and most of them were extremely successful. Carrie, as favorite, has played it safe throughout. After last week where Bo dominated, Carrie probably feels she needs to take big risks in order to stop Bo's momentum...can she get out of her comfort zone and succeed? Not likely.

Clive Davis's comments to Bo were very telling. Clive Davis discovered Bruce Springsteen. The parallels between Bruce and Bo are strong. Neither are naturally gifted vocalists or musicians. But, both sing and play with amazing amounts of passion. Bruce developed into an amazing lyricist. Who knows how Bo will develop? But, due to his AI success, Bice's career will be developed by the best in the music business.

So, the battle will be interesting to watch. Bo has to sing a lot better than Carrie in order to win. I'm sure he knows this. I'm also sure that he will do something that will even top last week's "a cappella" performance because when the stakes are highest, he will do what is necessary to succeed. I would be surprised if Bo doesn't totally dominate the finale and force a different ending to the AI script that had Carrie the winner. Bo will close out Carrie and win the competition.

Once the AI tour is over, I hope Bo starts doing club dates free from the restrictive AI formula...that's where the Bice artistry will really shine.

Final AOL Poll...Vote For Bo!

(Moderator Note: Keep Voting For Bo!!!)
Bo Bice is the favorite to win AMERICAN IDOL,according to the AOL's online poll (which hasaccurately predicted the winners for the pastthree season). Bo has increased his lead from 54%last week to 61% today, making Carrie’s share only39%. Over 25 million users have voted in thisseason's online poll, making it the most voted onpoll to date of all past seasons.

Bo Sang Better Than Carrie

The song that they both sang last night - can't remember the exact
title
- couldn't believe it was the same song when Bo sang it - Carrie's
rendition was her usual bland, predictable styling - Bo always brings
something of himself to a song - Carrie usually just sings each song
that same - at least, that's what it seems to me -
I think she is a lovely girl and talented - but certainly nothing
different that what is already out in country land -
But is Bo loses, he will be fine - his fan base is now enormous - quite
a class act I think

Bice Is Beautiful

I’m an Aussie, and we have a three day delayed broadcast…but I heard Bo’s final three songs on my pc and may I just add....’GIVE ME THE BEAT BO AND FREE MY SOUL, I WANNA GET LOST IN YOUR ROCK’N’ROLL, AND DRIFT AWAY….!!!’. I believe only a few times in our life do we get the chance to experience/witness the work of an extraordinary soul with outstanding raw talent…The people of the 50’s 60’s & 70’s got to witness such greats, and now it’s OUR turn. So Bo has come to us now-when we need his kind of love and _expression the most- He’s the man to bring back love and blissful freedom, and that is exemplified by the lyrics that he sings ‘HOLD ON TO FREEDOM , HOLD ON WITH YOUR LIFE…’. Not to mention the way in which he delivers those lyrics- he knows the path to our hearts, and he’s not afraid to follow it in order to infect us with his sheer brilliance.

I believe that all he wanted was to have a voice, and to ‘make it as a star’, meanwhile not fully realising that he was put on this earth for that specific purpose! Surely, he must have a clue by now just how much of an affect he has had on people (although it’s hard to tell, by his apparent humility!) I think about him ALL DAY EVERYDAY, and get an ache when I recall the way he sang ‘LET ME FEEL YOUR BEATING HEART….’ (Ouch!)

He’s a rebel ‘with’ a cause-in these apathetic times he’s resolved to bring back true soul, and to do it in his own style, and that is exactly what he has achieved. HE AFFECTS US DEEPLY WITH HIS MAGIC/MUSIC, AND INFECTS US RAPIDLY WITH HIS DIVINE/SWEET HUMILITY. He knows precisely who he is (which has been stated numerous times), however the refreshing thing is that he appears to actually ‘like’ himself- he exudes confidence and that’s what makes all the difference. When he belts out ‘I DON’T WANNA BE ANYTHING OTHER THEN WHAT I’VE BEEN TRYING TO BE LATELY…’he means it.

At long last, I’m getting to experience what real HUNGER for a performer feels like, it’s an indescribable phenomenon ….I CRY I LAUGH I LUST I’M ALIVE!!! The man’s head to shoulder tilts should be illegal, they drive me WILD! He is arousing in every sense of the word. I’m changed forever by this performer…just when I thought that ‘they’ weren’t going to let anyone like Bo in the game ‘they’ couldn’t let him go, they saw what they’d been missing, and here he is…when a floodgate has been opened how can one contain the rushing waters?

As for those critics- the ones who stated that Bo doesn’t display much vocal range, are you kidding me?? Bo has a naturally deep raspy sound to his voice, which could be misleading as to whether his vocal range is up to par…but honestly folks, there’s much to document on the pathetic nature of modern cynicism- however, I will not waste my time! Bo’s voice is amongst other things a TURN ON, not just in a physical sense, it runs a lot deeper than that- and I believe that is why he has captured so many hearts.

BO YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL BABY…when it’s time for you to change, let it always be your heart that drives you..and everything else will flow as it should. CONGRATULATIONS on going all the way, and THANK YOU FOR WAKING ME UP FROM MY SLEEP!

Lot’s of Love and Energy to Bo and his family

Another Bo Supporter

I guess you could count as one of the many who has sprung from the AI closet. Bo yanked the door wide open for me and he has now become my guilty pleasure. Bo struck a nerve with us "geezers" over 25. The music industry always seems to forget that we are the ones that provide the income for our younger counterparts to purchase those Clay Aiken CD's. Wake up industry brass!!! We still crave artists that can lay it all out there and then some. We are all not "adult contemporary" or "easy listening". We can still rock out AND feed the kids. You give me the choice of some new duds or a few good CD's, I'll take those CD's, load up my IPOD and listen to them in my worn out jeans. Watching Bo perform has given me something new to look forward to. What you see is what you get with Bo and what you get is a very real energy. That kind of force doesn't come around too often. Bo left me speechless after his stellar performance of a totally classic Badlands cut. You know, the speechless you get after watching a live Aerosmith show. I hope that the response Bo is getting from the public will start a movement away from the "making the band/homogenized/elevator music/sound board creations that seem to fill much of the airwaves today. Win or lose, the man is on his way. I am looking forward to heading out to Target on my lunch hour and buying the first of many "Bo Bice" CD's. Thanks Bo on behalf of all of us women who still love to kick it loud!! Rock and Roll is alive and well and booming proudly from my Camry.

Bo Will Win

http://theedge.bostonherald.com
"As a competitor, Bice has been humble and likable. The classiest display of this came when he refused to pick sides in that ``which group is the top three?'' fake-out by host Ryan Seacrest a few weeks back. As a singer, he hasn't displayed a lot of vocal range, but he's been consistent in terms of pitch. He has made some smart song choices and taken some risks - including that a cappella number last week - that have endeared him to viewers. "

What To Expect Tomorrow Night

Tomorrow is it; the last night of the competition. This has truthfully been the best year in the history of American Idol. Reflecting back on all of this year’s past performances I have to acknowledge the fabulous talent of the top 12 finalists. What an exceptionally talented group of young performers! Like everyone else I had my favorites which mine included Anwar, and Constantine and was somewhat surprised at their early elimination. I originally predicted BO, Anwar and Constantine to be the last three standing with Carrie in fourth. I was wrong about Anwar and Constantine but there was no way I could have been wrong about BO because America just could not deny the enormous amount of talent, energy, devotion, and determination of this young man. When I speak of Bo’s determination, it isn’t his determination of winning the competition, although that is important to him; it is his determination to perform to the best of his ability each and every time he steps onto the stage. His energy exuberates throughout the AI audience and TV fans as he exposes his heart and soul to all of us each week. There is no doubt that BO BICE has proven himself to be a true professional performer. He is true to his music and to his fans.

The final two are BO and Carrie. I am not disappointed with Carrie being one of the finalists; in fact I have to admit that I am a country girl myself and in my opinion Carrie deserves to be where she is at. But, I can not refute who is the most talented between these two performers and that is BO BICE. Carrie is good but BO is the true Artist. You can use the term “The Whole Package”, or “The It Factor”; I claim him to be “Infectious” but, no matter what you want to call it, BO has it. He has brought excitement and originality to AI and believe me America is thankful for that. He has raised the bar for himself each week satisfying all our expectations. It is obvious that BO knows what America wants because he is providing it weekly.

The two survivors will be singing three songs again, a song they choose that they previously had performed, a new choice of their own and one new song never heard before by anyone provided by AI. I read somewhere that BO has picked “I Don’t Want to Be”. This was one of my favorites but I wouldn’t mind hearing “Spinning Wheel” or “Whipping Post”. Oh, who cares what he picks, they were all good.

This is my prediction for Tuesday night. Bo will choose to sing “I Don’t Want to Be” and to satisfy so many of his fans and family from Alabama, his second choice is going to be “Sweet Home Alabama.” Remember these are just guesses on my part. Then hopefully AI is going to provide him with a song that will show case his true talent. Then, on the result show when he wins wouldn’t it be a great ending to BO’s journey on American Idol if he could perform one of his original songs. It would be a remarkable ending.

DON’T FORGET TO VOTE, VOTE, VOTE !

YOU GO BO!!

Brazilian Bice Fan

I just decided to drop you a line and say that I watch American Idol
every
week here in Brazil on cable tv. I'm a big fan of Bo Bice. He's already
a
professional and, as Simon said, makes the other contestants look like
amateurs. He has a complete domain of his voice - which makes him feel
confortable on stage - he sounds natural, despite of some other
contestants,
you know? Well, I can not vote, I guess, not sure, but I can cross my
fingers :) and hope that americans vote for the right one,he'll get
there,
I'm sure, he'll become the #1!

I appreciate your attention to this note, thank you

Patty's Bice Commentary

I think I am going to have to seek some professional help as I am finding myself obsessed with BO BICE. It is Friday and I am having withdraws so I have been going from site to site getting my BO fix.

The finale is this coming Tuesday and of course I believe that BO will win this hands down. Well, to be honest I believe that it will be close, so BO fans please don’t get comfortable thinking that Bo is a shoe in, you need to VOTE, VOTE, VOTE, not once, but as many times as possible. According to many poll sites, such as Sportsbook, Carrie was the favorite to win up until a couple weeks ago, but with the last few performances of BO’s the tables have turned and now our BO is favored, but again YOU MUST VOTE!

Why now is BO in the lead? I will give you my opinion in a minute. First let’s review how this season started and where we are now. In the very beginning we heard how Mario (remember him?) was the frontrunner of the competition. Saw his face all the time, only heard constant praise from the judges. Also, another name and face that was very prominent was Carrie’s. How many times have we seen Carrie’s first audition? Answer is several. We saw BO’s first audition for the first time the other night. We have seen clips of Carrie being interviewed by Ryan. We have seen Carrie show cased through the entire competition with the judges, especially Simon favoring her. Simon even predicted her to be the winner early in the competition. If you don’t think that AI tries to manipulate us on who to vote for your wrong. I personally and honestly don’t have a problem with this either; these are professionals who want to be able to sell records and it would be idiotic not to try to persuade the public on who they think should win. Anyway, back to my question, why now is BO BICE leading the polls? The answer is RAW TALENT! Even though it isn’t Tuesday yet, and we haven’t voted, BO BICE has emerged to be the true winner of this competition. He didn’t need to be show cased like the other competitors, he let his voice show case itself. BO has won America’s vote and hearts with his soulful voice, stage presence, and humble attitude. He has advanced through this competition solely on his own. In the beginning the odds were truly against BO, over coming obstacle such as bad press, and non recognition from the judges (in the beginning), but he is now deservingly on top and no one gets the credit but BO himself. BO is genuine; he doesn’t try to hide who he is and what he believes in. He loves his music, performing, and most of all I believe he loves us. I believe if he could meet with each and every person who has supported him through AI he would, because that is the kind of guy he is. He cares, he cares about his music and he cares about his fans. So let’s show him how much we care and vote him to be the next American Idol.

THANKS BO FOR GIVING US YOUR HEART AND SOUL. YOU TRULY ARE A GIFT.

Bo Feedback

I think you’re wrong.

I liked Bo/Carrie from the start (out of 24). I couldn’t decide on either.

Bo absolutely stole the show the night Clive Davis was there! Good for him.

I love Carrie; if she isn’t one of the most beautiful creatures we’ve seen on screen, I don’t know who is.

Plus, she has some conservatism to her, and she isn’t showing off half her body (Madona; Ms. Spears).

Thank God for a wholesome talented girl!

Bo has got so much going for him. He arrives on the world-wide scene a little older than say, Elvis; he’s had some rough-and-tumble hard knocks; he’s got humility; his performances are outstanding, and his eyes show his wonderful soul. I read his bio that he prays before each performance. How wonderful to hear! Further showing his humility, he said, “I’m loving it,” when performing with those two other Alabama performers (famous), and that he got choked up (for real) when presented with key to the city. He’s got the makings of a great performer. Patsy Kline was such a performer—look at her legacy. I think Bo could be as big as Patsy Cline, Elvis, or someone of that caliber. All he has to do is keep praying (to stay in the Lord’s will); be humble like he is now; share his wealth with his parents and perhaps some really well-deserving charities/folks in need; and keep his head (Elvis lost his unfortunately). He’ll be a HUGE success. I’m 59 and seen many come and go. He’s got what it takes and I wish him every success. Please pass that on to him!

Down Under Bice Fan

I BELIEVE THAT HAROLD 'BO' BICE IS THE EMERGING STAR OF THIS MILLENNIUM. I'm not just stating this lightly, I have given it very careful consideration, and this is what I've come up with....for a performer to audition for a show like American Idol knowing that when he went into the competition his kind of music wasn't as popular as the previous successful idol contestants...he had a mission..he wanted; with a passion to bring rock'n'roll back...and I believe with all of my being that he has done just that. My reason for this argument mainly lies with the fact that I have NEVER been a rock fan....however watching Bo perform has stirred something inside of me, and let me just add that it's not just a physical attraction (granted the man is delicious!). I feel that for the very first time in a long while, pure and untarnished love is making it's way back into our lives through his voice and his body and soul...words are hard to come by, but that is the best way I can explain it....even before his a cappella 'in a dream' performance...I was convinced, but now more than ever I BELIEVE in this man and in his struggle. It's almost as if he lays himself bare out on that stage each week..men are capable of such misery but also of such beauty..oh the bitter sweet irony.

Bo is the 'Elvis' and the 'Jim Morrison' of the new millennium...he has brought back unstoppable sex appeal, and infused it with his own flavour...I believe him to be a simple genius, perhaps a contradiction in terms, but nonetheless the truth. It has become pretty obvious that Simon Cowell wishes that he bet on a different horse, he is eating his words about Carrie winning the competition as we speak, and he doesn't need to say anything at all, his smiles' speak a thousand words!

It would be an absolute TRAGEDY if Bo bice does not take out Idol 4.....because he is absolutely on his way to being our WORLD IDOL!! I can honestly write that I have yet to see a more appealing passionate and evocative performer in my life time...AMERICA DO YOUR BIT AND VOTE FOR HIM.....because if I could I would in a heartbeat....Bo, I love your soul coz I can see it through your eyes, may the Gods guide you and lift you up to where you belong.

Lots of Love and Energy

Bo Turns Me On

I am a 36 year old mother and wife. I never thought I would be watching American Idol, or lusting after a handsome rock star ever again. I happened to be channel surfing one night when I happened upon Bo, belting out one of my favorite old rock tunes with a vengeance!! I am now hooked on Bo. I feel like a young girl again, constantly thinking about him and his soulful presence - he has breathed new life into this old mom. I have recorded every one of his performances on TIVO and find myself watching them over and over and over…Every performance brings me to tears!! He is the sexiest, sweetest, most soulful rocker I have ever laid eyes on…Oh Bo, you’ve got me tinglin’ again.

Bo...The Non-Comformist

I too, was a teen in the late seventies, and therefore, am a fan of the old classics. What is refreshing about Bo, is that he obviously refuses to conform to ' todays' version of a rock and roller. The classic long hair is certainly not one of todays trend.
Idol NEEDED this infusion of rock, and I give Bo all the credit in the world for having the courage to even try out.
Knowing that it is geared more to the 'pop' singers...he took a chance that many would not have taken.
His stage presence is impressive. He is understated ( unlike Constantine) and relies on his voice, not his body, to get the message across. I am also impressed by his ability to remain humble when accepting praise....really, the guy just HAS IT ALL.He is all that The American Idol should be.

Bice: In His Own League

Bo is so talented and has just proven once again that he is in a league ofhis own. He is a gift, and he seems like a genuinely great guy. Thisshows through in everything that he does. When AI showed his hometownvisit, you could see that he is truly touched by all of his fans. To goalong with all of his talent, you can see that he is a caring andcompassionate person. He definitely deserves the American Idol title. Wewish him the best of luck in everything and look forward to seeing him ontour and purchasing his albums. Rock on Bo!

Bice Is A Gift

In the music world we have missed the likes of performers and artists
like
Jim Morrison, (Doors), and the gifts he had as well as Jimi Hendrix,
Janis

have
been given a real gift to the rock world and his name is Bo Bice. Wow!
(We've needed you Bo!) I just hope what happened to the other greats
never

should prove himself not just an 'American Idol' contestant but a REAL

Bo Not Bubble Gum

I'm a 38 year old "80's" girl, and I agree with Barbara. Bo is the best I've heard in years. I've had it with the music choices of today. Bubble gum boy/girl bands or rap. Everyone sounds the same. But not our Bo! He puts his heart and soul into his songs and I'm hanging on every note. Can't wait to see what he does post A.I. days. Win or lose, I'll be there to support him each step of the way!

The Reasons Why I Root For Bo

I'm rooting for Bo to be the next American Idol. Why?
He's versatile. He can sing anything from country to rock to oldies as he's proven countless times. He does not limit himself to his "rocker" status.
He's got stage presence. Every performance is fabulous and he looks like he's been performing for years. He's comfortable on stage and he draws the crowd into any song he's singing.
He's passionate. Every time he sings, you can feel every word. He puts on the correct attitude for every performance and presents us with not just great music, but soul.
He's talented. His voice is one of the best I've ever heard from American Idol, and for that matter, the music industry today.
He's unique. Every American Idol to ever win has been a pop singer, and a rocker winning would be a great change of pace. The show is 'American Idol', not 'Pop Idol'.
Bo winning would open up entirely new possibilities for the contestants and the future of the show, not to mention bring in scores of different people to the show. Bo is overall the best contestant, and I've been rooting for him since the top 24 was announced. He would be a great American Idol, and already is mine.

Military Bo Fans In Huntsville

I just had to write to let you know that the Public Affairs Office at the Space and Missile Defense Command in Huntsville is a HUGE Bo supporter! Not only have my wonderful co-workers put up with my obsession, but they have played along with it well. I have Bo posters covering the walls in my office cubicle thanks to their kindness, and Wednesday and Thursday mornings have become consumed with Bo talk and American Idol banter.

But the best thing they did was the poster (I'll attach the picture here in hopes you can share it). We went out for an office lunch at a restaurant where you can draw on the tables. I instructed everyone to draw a picture of Bo and--much to my surprise!--they all did. We're not the greatest of artists, but we had fun with it. Here we are, sitting in a nice restaurant, professionals in our skirts and suits, varying from ages 25 to 60, coloring pictures of our favorite American Idol star! It was a great moment. I couldn't help myself--I took the pictures back and glued them on posterboard to make a sign. We have since hung it up in the office every Tuesday to remind everyone to vote for Bo!

We are all huge fans of his music and definitely think our homegrown talent should be the American Idol. Win or lose, he is definitely mine :-)

We're routing for you, Bo.

Go Bo Go!

Dear Bo,

Dear Bo,
I'm old enough to say that had you been around "back then" - you would have given lynnard a run for his money - and you'd have also been able to say that you played your music in thousands of cars at some of the finest "keggars" in the state!

Rock on

I can't believe that. I am extremely sad for Bo, but I think that not Carrie but Bo will sell the highest number of records and I am looking forward to see the first one on the Canadian market. Thanks Bo, for me you are the absolute winner. Good luck and stay who you are.

Bo, I love you babe and am pulling for you. But, puh--leeze, let's drop the grunge look next week for the finals and step things up a bit. I loved you in the black suit a few weeks ago. (The pale colors on tv wash you out). Plus the black suit gave you such presence on stage.

Go Bo! You WILL win!

Bice Is A Gift

In the music world we have missed the likes of performers and artists
like
Jim Morrison, (Doors), and the gifts he had as well as Jimi Hendrix,
Janis
Joplin, and yeah, The King, Elvis. This season on American Idol we
have
been given a real gift to the rock world and his name is Bo Bice. Wow!
(We've needed you Bo!) I just hope what happened to the other greats
never
happens to him. I say, "stay safe, sane and away from the drugs!" He
should prove himself not just an 'American Idol' contestant but a REAL
American idol in the real world. Wow!

Go Bo Go!
